That Person who you irrationally dislike be they a celeb, someone you know, or a family member, the criteria being they are harmless and have done nothing to warrant your dislike of them except their very personality?

And you know that the fact you don't like them is really unreasonable but they make you absolutely seethe?

Or AIBU?

That Sarah Jane Mee from Sky breakfast, gets right up my nose. Lovely name but more suited to children's tv than serious news channel. How dare she presume to stand in for Saint Eamon.

Openmindedmonkey · 25/04/2016 21:49

Ooh chickenowner, I am so pleased it's not just me!!
Really annoys me when she's ironically 'funny' on TV shows, too.
(It's not even a great song at that... )

TinklyLittleLaugh · 25/04/2016 21:52

I think Ricky Gervaise is pretty good on disability actually. He gets the dark sort of humour that disabled people use between themselves.

ScreamingNotWaving · 25/04/2016 22:45

I started off reading this thread thinking that there was no-one that made me irrationally angry...quite a few that make me rage, Keith Lemon, James Corden etc. but that's not 'irrational'...then I remembered my SiL, with her whimsical, vintage Facebook musings. Argh! All that performance parenting, love these little men, oh hark, do I hear a black bird outside my window, the frost doth Hmm mimsy-fucking-whimsy. The only reason she's still on my FB is that the occasional rage is good for you!

To cap off my irrational rage, as we were leaving the sports centre tonight, I walked past the exercise room where a crowd of plums were obviously warming up for some class or other. They were high-knees jogging round in a circle, apart from one person who was positively prancing. I was hit by a wave of irrational rage, then I looked at the people behind her and they were all like this AngryHmm

Roversandrhodes · 25/04/2016 22:52

Oh gosh yes, she's on my shit list! That bloody clothing advert she does makes me want to punch my screen and people just seem to worship her as if she's some sort of national treasure. She isn't .

GingerMerkin · 25/04/2016 22:52

Far too many to menton for me both celebs and people in RL. Have a very low hatred threshold.

GuiltyPleasure · 25/04/2016 23:04

Christine Bleakley, Billie Piper & Miley Cyrus, for many rational reasons, but mainly because they all have teeth too big for the size of their mouth

RoryHuntzberger · 25/04/2016 23:07

WTF TinklyLittleLaugh

I think Ricky Gervaise is pretty good on disability actually. He gets the dark sort of humour that disabled people use between themselves.

I am disabled, he is not, he has as much fucking right to culturally appropriate humour disabled people use among themselves as he does to call a black person the 'n' word Biscuit

Omgruserious · 25/04/2016 23:09

Micheal Douglas
Paul Ogrady
Liza Tarbuck
Anthea Turner
Stella Mcartney
A girl from college who pronounces Agnes B as Ashnay Ber
School Mum who wears floaty Kaftans with a fedora and permanent angst etched on her face due to the stress of "interior projects" ( she makes cushions).
The career Dad who insists on asking every time we meet despite the fact I'm a stay at home Mum have I been travelling recently, then proceeds to pull out his travel itenary for the next 6 months.
Actually last 3 are on my people you would run over ( and then reverse back ) in your Range Rover list.

tigercub50 · 25/04/2016 23:23

I was once told that I would find good in anybody & I would say I am very tolerant & accepting. However, there are one or two people that I just can't do with, including Alison Hanmond on This Morning. I just want to slap her!

bellybuttonfairy · 25/04/2016 23:27

Lorraine Kelly - I can't stand her. She chats away cheerily but her eyes and twitchy smile gives it away. I truly believe she is a psychopath under her makeup and pastel dress.

vladthedisorganised · 25/04/2016 23:33

How could I forget.. anyone at all who has Quit Sugar, as opposed to just not having it.

I Quit Sprouts, but I don't expect people to applaud every time I don't eat them, nor do I feel the need to mention the fact I Quit Sprouts every five minutes.
This irrational hatred stems from an annoying colleague but I can't help applying it to everyone who evangelises the book.

Eveninties · 25/04/2016 23:49

Rory exactly what I think. He said, something like, that if people were offended by his jokes that we were the arseholes. Maybe I am an arsehole but still don't get how it's ever think it's ever funny to slag off disabled people Confused

RoryHuntzberger · 25/04/2016 23:53

Exactly Even If somebody thinks that calling somebody a "mong" is the height of hilarity, they are not someone who I want to have on my screen or whose career I want to pay towards

GingerMerkin · 25/04/2016 23:57

Would very much like to pull Kate Middleton's hair.

Also Fiona Bruce - needs a dry slapping.

LadyIncuntliaButtock · 26/04/2016 00:00

I truly believe she is a psychopath under her makeup and pastel dress.

LK admits in private she sees much of her work as "shit" and can't stand the people she interviews, possibly no different from many presenters.

The one that does it for me is Richard Osmon, or Dick as I prefer to call him. His insipid sense of humour and gormless face make me feel physically sick - he is revolting to me, especially when he is presented as this great intellectual. Here's a suggestion for the BBC to save money: axe him from Pointless (do we really need one person to ask the questions, and El Gormo to answer them?) I curse when I switch to BBC One for the 6 o'clock news and find his beady little eyes and quiff looming large on my TV screen. I FUCKING LOATHE THE PSEUDO-INTELLECTUAL CUNT.

There. That's better.

EverySongbirdSays · 26/04/2016 00:04

Shock Shock Shock

Not Richard

I've posted under my NC accidentally about 3 times - (sigh) have asked MNHQ to fix - am not sockpuppetting, it just defaults unless I check properly, my apologies.

Nicola Sturgeon makes me feel irrationally angry every time I see her on the TV, usually moaning about something and blaming the Torieeees Angry

Tom Bradby also really annoys me. I find him too smug and I'm gutted he has taken over from my secret crush Mark Austin. Hmph.

There are also a few customers at work that wind me up for no particular reason, like the guy who comes in to buy his paper and cigarettes every morning but there's just something about his voice when he asks for his cigarettes that really annoys me Grin

outspotout · 26/04/2016 03:11

Guilty I so get that about the teeth thing. Suspect that may be the root cause of my allergy to Claire Sweeney.

Add to that list anyone who uses their teeth to pronounce their B's, P's and M's without their lips actually meeting. I simply cannot look directly at them whilst they are talking.

Yes too to Lorraine Kelly, or as I refer to her, "The Imposter".

Both of the Gallagher brothers should be banned from Earth's atmosphere entirely.

But none of these can compare to the incandescent rage I feel towards one "celeb" in particular... In fact, my total loathing of her is so well known that I've had to NC.

Object of my complete derision is:

Kat Uber Attention Seeker Von Dee

Ugh, i actually do not have the words to express how much I utterly detest her! Talented? Yes. Tolerable? No fucking way! Grrrr Angry

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 26/04/2016 08:18

Oh god yeah Rita Ora. I don't get what everyone sees in her. All I can see is a calculating, attention seeking example of very mediocre talent, who's probably a nightmare to be in a relationship with.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 26/04/2016 08:23

And YES to Kat VD. She looks riddled and her attitude is shocking. Never liked her, and she just got worse after getting her own TV show. Her tattooing skills have gone to seed as well - she's much more interested in the fame.

I know someone who travelled from here to the U.S. to get tattooed by her. She turned up for his appointment 6 hours late, reeking of the night before, no apology. She half assed his tattoo, didn't even manage to finish it. He was charged quite the eyewatering amount too, not even taking flights and hotel into consideration. People still think it's an honour to get work done by her, for some bizarre reason.

BoatyMcBoat · 26/04/2016 08:43

Sean Bean. Can't watch anything with him in it.

FrizzyMcFrizzface · 26/04/2016 08:51

Robert Peston. His dragging out, pausing and unnatural emphasis give me the rage.

Everyone** in my parents village. So smug and superior. It's like the fucking Wicker Man!

Mr Bloom - that Northern Manchester mod Oasis style haircut and accent and then I saw him on something else and he didn't have a Northern accent! I want to kill him. I don't hate Northerners btw, my whole family are Grin

This one is bad: our old vicar Shock Nothing wrong with him, he was very nice but I just couldn't stand him and can't explain why! Blush very sorry

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 26/04/2016 09:07

His dragging out, pausing and unnatural emphasis give me the rage.

Another culprit for this is Nev Schulman from Catfish. He's fine when he's speaking normally, but as soon as he engages the person doing the catfishing on the phone, he's stilted, drawn out, and pauses/emphasises in really odd places. It's weirdly infuriating!
