It seems a very unpopular view amongst my friends and colleagues, and possibly amongst fellow mumsnetters, but I don't care. She's 90 and she's still out working hard with good humour.

I like her. Much more than charles!

I have very mixed feelings about monarchy, mainly negative, but I have an affection for queenie; as far as being a queen goes, I think she's done it pretty well.

I think she is fabulous!! And whilst my feelings are lukewarm towards Charles normally, having watched the BBC1 documentary this evening I actually think he is quite lovely too

She's not so popular in some parts of the UK.

Charles gets a bad rap. He does a lot for wildlife and the Prince's Trust is amazing. I like them all in their different ways and the BBC1 programme was very touching. The Queen works very hard and deserves every bit of birthday fuss.

I agree. She always does her best and has a huge sense of duty. She is completely amazing for 90. Long may she reign!

She has beautiful taste in hats.

My head says we should be a republic - my heart says she's an amazing woman with an inspiring sense of duty who has contributed a huge amount to the country. I worry for Charles - he seems like a nice man, but he'll never have the same level of goodwill.

I think she does a marvellous job and I hope I'm as fit as her when I'm 90.

I thought Sarah Chatto was very nice- seemed like a very gentle character.

I like Charles as well. I was very struck by the normaility and unstuffiness of their childhood activities - all generations.

(And as a youth I was anti monarchy and was properly mortified to be present at a toast to the monarch at a formal dinner.

I thought Sarah Chatto seemed lovely.

Really enjoyed the programme tonight watching their old home movies.
