I have just been reminded of how much 'me' some of that dark 80s Goth stuff is, and my friends are being boring. AIBU to get wine (not blue nun or Liebfraumilch sadly) and listen to only Cure, Mission, Nephilim, and Mary Chain all night???

Ooh can I come? I'll dig out my original Sisters of Mercy t-shirt from 1983. I still wear it to sleep in sometimes amazingly it still fits me

Lanark2 · 15/04/2016 23:03

Red or Blue Cock? I vaguely remember one being slightly more expensive so we saved it for special occasions

CockacidalManiac · 15/04/2016 23:04

I remember older goths getting snotty at me because I bought my Sisters T shirt from HMV.

Lanark2 · 15/04/2016 23:05

Am sitting here with delicious sleeping newborn, who appears quite sensitive to noise sadly, otherwise I would join you with Emma, and maybe Some Kind of Stranger and Alice for a bit of singalong fun.

DramaAlpaca · 15/04/2016 23:06

I was probably one of those older goths. I got my t-shirt at a gig in Leeds

CockacidalManiac · 15/04/2016 23:06

I remember thinking Andrew Eldritch looked really cool. Looking back, he really needed a few hot dinners inside of him.

CockacidalManiac · 15/04/2016 23:07

I used to put This Corrosion on jukeboxes a lot, because it went on for ever. Value for money!

CockacidalManiac · 15/04/2016 23:08

I didn't realise there was different colours if Thumderbird! I only ever had one bottle, it made me feel sick.

darksideofthemooncup · 15/04/2016 23:08

This will out me but I don't care. Here I am in 1987 giving you all the side-eye

We have to play "Lucretia, my reflection" next.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 15/04/2016 23:13

I was always a baby bat wannabe. I loved Goth fashion and movies.

Can we watch the Crow??

Lanark2 · 15/04/2016 23:13

Which is 'I got the sex gang children '82 bootleg sent to me by a guy in Leeds who put a Bauhaus selection on the b-side from Germany when I was at school and pals were into wham..;)
