To think im not too old to have two plaits?

25. Thinking about having my hair in two plaits tomorrow. Am i being unreasonable to think im not too old?

Depends on your face and style, not your age. I looked shit in them even as a kid. Jennifer aniston looked amazing in them at 35 on "friends"!

I'm 29 and have two plaits occasionally for work, more often one. I do think one is more professional but I sometimes want a change. I might also add ribbons on the end.

I would have thought in a charity shop it would be fine.

On a side note: How do you get a bun that's comfy and stays put all day? I have similar hair to you, thick and long, and I can't make it stay in place without about 3 scrunchies.

I do mine in two plaits for walking sometimes, it helps stop the wind from knackering it! I won't see 25 again...

Oooh is this like the kardashian braids they see to be wearing all the time now.... If your hair is long and you can pull it off do it, I saw a girl this week who had her hair like this and it looked fab. Mine is only just past my shoulders so when i tried just basically looked like the moon due to my massive round face.

If you like it then do it, who cares what anyone else thinks, Ill just be over her being jealous....

Lumpy I agree, I sound a complete nob there and I'm usually the one saying age doesn't matter a jot. My comment was very biased as she's a total cow who hurt someone I love dearly very badly. She most def isn't fabulous but it has nothing to do with her hair.

Who gives a fuck how old you are? Wear what you like and what you feel happy in. And if that means plaits, wear plaits :)

However, some people can totally get away with either or both. Depends on overall gorgeousness imo.

I sometimes put mine in two plaits to go running. People quite often tell me it looks nice. I'm 46.

U are not too old but it can look a bit nineties raver, however that's all back in now isn't it? I keep seeing teens in clothes I wore when I was their age (I left school in '95)
If u are pretty other women could find it threatening (it's a bit slapperish, like wearing a school uniform on a night out int it?)u could look like ur trying too hard to get male attention.

Antilly- i put it in a pony tail and secure with two thick hairbands and then spray with hairspray. Wrap it into a bun and secure with another two and a scrunchie and then more spray. The higher it is on my head the more likely it is to stay in.

I'm 23 and love to wear my hair in a plait, although i'd recommend doing one to the side, i think it looks much better than two, and have seen quite a few others with it like this lately and all have looked great

low down that is, so justswept to one side then plaited down.

My friend wears it in plaits and she's 46. It looks great, and definitely makes her look younger! She also wears it in high pigtails.

If you have long, thick hair, then plaits are more comfortable then a bun, so do it.
