Long time silent fan of Mumsnet. I find it interesting and full of useful advice!
However I don't feel that I should have signed up just now to post this.
Or that I should ever post for advice or comment. (First post here)

I have no children yet. I am 19. I plan to one day though. I just really enjoy this site and look through it multiple times a day. AIBU or is this ok if I stay silent or what. Sorryyyy and thank you!

I'm not a mum. I'm only 21 so hopefully won't be for at least another 5 yearsGrin

Hello, good to have a mix!

BillyDaveysDaughter · 17/04/2016 12:09

I'm 43 with no children - of my own. I am a stepmum of 3 (19, 22 and 24). But I have never posted about them!

I just enjoy the interesting and hilarious threads. And the trolls, and seeing trolls have their arse handed to them.

The only non parent posters I don't like are the ones who register solely to tell us they were in a cafe/supermarket/on public transport and there was a child not behaving according to their (Victorian) standards of behaviour. Do they think we are the fucking mummy mafia or something? "Oh was that the Archway Costa? Was he wearing a green dinosaur jacket? Don't worry I know the feckless cow, I'll have a word when she gets home"

Nerdygalwithabook · 17/04/2016 14:02

HAHAHAHA mummy mafia

I'm 43 and childless, but that doesn't mean I don't have opinions. I just mostly post on things which aren't about parenting per se, though I do occasionally post on those too, if I feel I have something to say. I'm not going to be posting about the best disposable nappies, though, as I have no knowledge at all there. It doesn't matter - there are only 24 hours a day, and I'm meant to spend some of it sleeping, eating, washing, doing housework, working, exercising, etc, etc. I don't want to have something to say on every single thread - I don't even read vast sections of MN, because there isn't time enough in the world. There's something for everyone here.

There's something for everyone here

I hope once my girls emerge the other side of stroppy teenager they sign up to MN themselves

zombiesarecoming · 17/04/2016 14:22

Bollocks hit post not return

I think for a lot of people the relationships section is a massive help and if posting or viewing threads there stops someone from staying in a shitty or recognising an abusive relationship then that can only be a good thing

vienna1981 · 17/04/2016 15:50

I'm not a mum. And unless I have gender reassignment surgery and commence sexual relations, I won't be any time soon.

Seriously, though, there's all types on here.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 17/04/2016 16:03

I joined when I was about 19, spent all day at work in a call centre on MN 😂 I'm 26 now and had DC1 last year so I was a non mum for ages!
