In defense of bulk-buyers everywhere, my DH is always railing against my tins of tomatoes/chickpeas/lentils etc buying on amazon and then mysteriously, they all get used up within a few weeks. It's not like the toilet roll has an expiration date :)

Sallyingforth · 05/04/2016 13:07

At least when you use them it will give you a nice warm feeling :)

TaraCarter · 05/04/2016 13:08

Donate some of them to the local food bank! They may not be food, but I bet the clients could still do with toilet tissue.

Junosmum · 05/04/2016 13:10

Oh my goodness. That's like 200 loo rolls! YADNBU!

BarbaraofSeville · 05/04/2016 13:10

Yes, I think food banks do ask for toilet roll.

Get him to read konmarie book, there is a section about a woman with 100s of toothbushes.

As long as he agrees not to get anymore until x date it does make sense to stock up at costco etc

focusedmum · 05/04/2016 13:14

DH does that at Christmas Confused

Just showed this picture to dh (who is supposed to be working from home)

He asked if your husband got a good deal on it!

Better too much than not enough Wink

MaxPepsi · 05/04/2016 13:29

I am the bulk buyer, it's a trait I have picked up from my mum who has the room to bloody store it all, unlike me

DH good naturedly shakes his head at me every time.

In an effort to ward off any potential hoarding issues which DH says I am ripe for I have made a concerted effort to stop buying so much.
The result? We keep fucking running out of stuff!

So in short - yes YABU Grin leave the man alone!!

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 05/04/2016 13:29

Count yourself slightly lucky, at least there's no best by date on bog roll. There's a family story about my uncle buying multiple trays of special offer yoghurts on a random shopping trip.
Only when he got home was it realised that a) there was insufficient space to store 72 yoghurts in the fridge, and b) they were all expiring within 24 hours.
Cousins were told they were eating yoghurt for every meal for days Grin

Work out how much cash is held in the stockpile of bog roll. It's not a "good deal" if it's run once a month!

focusedmum · 05/04/2016 13:30

Personally I think he could fit a few more in that space!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 05/04/2016 13:31

He'a a ..............Prepper! Grin

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 05/04/2016 13:32

I recently asked DH to add a 500ml bottle of antibac spray to the online order.
When it was delivered we received 10 x 750ml bottles of the stuff. I've pointed out that's about a 3 yr supply ....
He repeated the exercise with handsoap a week later [sigh]

LisaMed · 05/04/2016 13:35

I aspire to that stock of loo roll.

lorelei9here · 05/04/2016 13:36

Hmm
Finding it hard to tell how many rolls that is
Also how many people in the household?

It's quite normal for me to have eight rolls spare at a time. I live alone though so if I break my ankle again, that's one thing I don't have to go out for or expect anyone else to bring round

Another one with a pop to Costco husband. We too have a loo roll stash. I thought I was alone, it is so good to know I'm not.

ExitPursuedByABear · 05/04/2016 13:42

Is he the poo troll?

MyKingdomForBrie · 05/04/2016 13:42

Direct him to the preppers board.. Maybe he thinks a nationwide loo roll shortage is on the cards? Should we all be stocking up?!

Longdistance · 05/04/2016 13:44

I have those loo rolls from Costco Blush

ALemonyPea · 05/04/2016 13:47

I knew it was Costco when I saw the photos. I love Costco, and love bulk buying. My sister scoffs at my huge tubs of herbs and spices.
