to think I've had the very goodest Good Friday?

Lighthearted

Slept in till 10am
Had bacon sarnie and two brews
Took the dog for a long walk in the sun
Ex came round with the DC, we all played in the garden.
I made the best roast chicken dinner in the history of roast chicken dinners. Ex and I shared a bottle of Wine
We had trifle
He then took the DC back to his
I am now drinking more Wine in a tidy and quiet house and watching serial killer documentaries.
Will have a long hot bath before getting into my freshly made bed and sleeping alone (DS sleeps with me usually).

Who can beat that Grin

way better than mine - which was walking round Primark ect with 3 children 7,11,13 trying to buy summer clothes - it was not fun!

ghostys That sounds challenging. Did they find much that they liked?

Euphemia you've a goodun there, what did he cook?

And thanks chops. We haven't been separated for all that long and I've struggled with missing the DCs but am learning to enjoy the peace when I have it! (Secretly looking forward to their rowdy bums being back here tomorrow though).

I had an afternoon siesta on the sofa after a mug of tea and a fresh cream horn thing from the bakery counter at Waitrose. It was bliss. Not a usual Friday afternoon so am happy. It's the little things.

Lovely!

I had a good one too - DH and I had a very rare day off together but sent DD to nursery as usual because we are bad parents they had lots of lovely easter activities planned that we knew she'd love. We had a long leisurely breakfast together, lovely walk and cinema trip before picking DD up early and taking her to a petting farm. Bliss!!

I've just had some news from work that means that this was probably my last day off in quite a while, so I'm even more pleased it was a good one! Grin

Aww sounds amazing!! I have cabin fever as I have a horrible cold along with my DD!! I've spent the day under the duvet watching kids tv Sad envious of the people walking by in the sun outside!!

Sounds lovely TVC15. I also enjoy a good serial killer documentary, and any FBI case files/ forensic analysis of real crimes etc.

You all beat me, because I was working today, and will be working tomorrow. By the time I am free on Sunday and Monday it will be raining.

DP took the kids out for the afternoon, so I gutted the house and went and had my nails done! Usually hate housework, but it feels amazing it have it all nice!

We went to a national trust place and then had a surprisingly nice carvery! Traffic was awful but we had such a lovely day.

What a lovely OP, I'm glad you had a fab day.

I think you should be proud of having a good working relationship with your Ex I'm presuming you didn't spit in his food or anything Wink

I had a nice day too. I am MyFirtnessPal'ing and managed to include a cadburys Egg 'n Spoon into my days allowance. I did some other good stuff too but that Egg 'n Spoon was pretty amazing.

Ahhh lovely, sounds very similar to my day!
Woke early (6.30 - habit!) lazed about in bed chatting to DH while the Dc watched their programmes downstairs.
Made tea and toast and stayed in bed chatting till about 11.
Got up whiffed about a bit, did some washing then had a snooze!
Then round to our best mates to deliver a bday present and shared a bottle of wine. Then home, Chinese takeaway, found a Voice we didn't see last weekend and more Wine

I got brought a cup of tea at 7.45 as I had to be in our local town for the Good Friday walk of witness by 9.30. Joined up with a larger group than usual which ended up at the local Co E for hot cross buns.

After lunch went round to help dd in her new house and then went down to church for a service.

This evening I am home with with dh while dd is out with her fiance. She is leaving home tomorrow to move into their house - after nearly 42 years of having children in the house I will be sharing the house with only dh. Ds1 is is nearly 42 and dd is 23.

Well, my XP (with whom I also get on Smile) took the DC out this morning while I did housework and pottered online, then they came back, had lunch and I sowed some seeds with DS1 while baby DS2 had his nap, then we went to the beach where DS1 did his damnedest to get water over the tops of his wellies while DS2 discovered sand. Then home, tea, bed for the DC, and XP has gone home, leaving me with wine and the sofa to myself Smile.

That sounds fab OP, but I have had a good one too. Our little sister had a baby girl. Some complications which meant she had to have a cesarean, but mum and baby both doing well and I can't wait to go and see them tomorrow.

I had a lovely lie in till 10:30 then we took the kids to the park with the scooters and a picnic. We walked for 4 miles and then visited the petting zoo in the park.
We stopped at McDonald's on the way home for mcflurrys.
Then I dropped DD at her friends for a sleepover whilst DH cooked dinner.
He's gone to his mates for a bit and the boys are in bed and I'm catching up on sky+
It's a shame I have to work tomorrow Sad

Glad most of us have had a great day and huge Wine to everyone who's been poorly/is working. I love the insight these kind of threads give us into each other's lives Smile

Now on a practical note, am I the only one who is finding making a Murderer deathly dull?? Is it worth sticking with?

We had the most amazing day. Lazed around in bed until 9, DSs brought us toast, tea for me and tried to give DH a beer from the fridge (at 7.30am) bless them! Grin

Then we popped to get some lunch bits, briefly visited my parents and then spent the afternoon on steam trains and vintage fairground rides at a local attraction which was amazing. Their little faces were a picture. Happy, happy day.

We had a lie-in, then met lovely friends in the pub for hours and hours-long lunch, and they announced their engagement so much merriment was had. Came home via the chippy and now playing a game and having another Wine
