We have a living room.... Mum has a front room. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If it's visitors its the drawing room(the one without a telly).

If it's evening its supper otlr a late supper (cookies and milk or bread soaked in hot milk. I sometimes make loose porridge with milk and cocoa powder)

Luckily because I have no telly anywhere, its all the drawing room. The entry stairs are 'hall' and the flat as a whole is 'the house'

'Thirsty' in posh friends is 'beer?' With 30 smth professionals its 'have you hydrated enough, electrolytes, possible diabetes, modern air conditioning is drying, etc

So where the fuck is the drawing room and parlour?!

It's actually breakfast lunch and then tea
You go out for dinner or to someone else's house. Tea is always at home 😊

When I was growing up it was:

'The other room' - we only had two rooms downstairs and the 'other room' was only used for a couple of hours after supper.
