To ask why you hide a thread or a whole board?

Just that really.

It's never occurred to me to hide a whole board/topic as for me they always show up in Active regardless. I'm not meaning to start a TAAT but rather one inspired by one if that passes. But anyway if you hide threads why do you do it? And if you hide entire topics... why? Outside of Chat and AIBU, I really fail to see where the rest of the traffic goes [confuded]

I hide threads because of the posters on them, in the main: as there's no option to ignore the twat-tastic, it's easier just to hide the thread. I find it's bad for my blood pressure to read to much tripe before breakfast

Argh - "too", "too", "too": that typo was punishment for my smug-fuckery!

I hide feminism to stop myself getting infuriated by the nastiness that prevails there.
I hide TTC / pregnancy / formula vs breast feeding etc as I'm way past that stage and it's neither of interest to me, nor would I be able to offer help or advice as advice changes an mine is probably out of date.

I hide baby threads and special needs. And I quickly hide any animal cruelty threads as I just want to kill them.

Boring, upsetting, I'll get yelled at if I say what I really think, I have nothing to say & no curiousity either.

The word fisting makes me involuntarily clench my legs together. While I'm sure it's great for my pelvic floor, it's not a nice feeling. Hidden. I hide Sporn threads too. And anything about poo, wasps or spiders.

I have loads of topics hidden so that what comes up in achive is actually interesting to me and I don't get a feed swamped with irrelevant stuff and aibu.I still get aibu, but I get stuff which is potentially interesting around it.

I did because I'm a nosy fucker. Then just hid the whole topic as I wished I'd never read the description

I hide lots of things. Often about teachers/ schools and how we are all child hating morons everyday then

I hide things that make my anxiety worse, things that I have no interest in and things that are often so blatantly troll led that I cba to see the fallout.

Nuget yes... I've put the same comment on there actually. Was genuinely surprised. Not in a gf way I mean honestly it seemed to cause a real palpable reaction.

Yeah was a bit graphic for me. And also I assume most posters on there are trolls
