to want a snow leopard?

I really want one, and DH said no. And I think it's him BU not me. It could really keep my feet warm in bed, but DH said there wouldn't be any room for him in bed with a snow leopard. But there's a lovely sofa he can sleep on.

So, who is BU? Me or DH?

When I was about 5, DF came home with a tiny furry baby, who had been seemingly abandoned and picked up by a member of the public. She was expected to die in the night but somehow survived. We had her for a year until she was old enough to be released.

When I was about 8 I wanted a baby elephant. My mum said no at first but then said if I ever saw one in a pet shop I could have it.

I want one of these...not quite a snow leopard...but close enough!

I want a miniature elephant, sort of medium dog sized. The fact that there is no such thing doesn't stop me wanting one.

Or a mini giraffe.

I would want snow leopard, but only if it could be a daemon, like StellaMaria in "His Dark Materials".

Failing that, I would like a polar bear, specifically Iorek Byrnison , as my best mate.

We told DD we would get a pet bear once. Jokingly. DD has autism and believed us and got all excited. We live in small flat. Oops.

And slightly more realistically, (if I had ALL the money!), I want a Tibetan Mastiff. It would be like walking a bear.

And that is slightly more realistic, only because they can be actual pets, as opposed to wild animals.

How many of these animals would it be illegal to own?

Is a penguin a problem?

There's a pangolin in the new Disney film Zootopia paperchaserr. A brief appearance, but I thought: 'Ooh! Someone knows their niche animals.'

MaidOfStars my book on the wildlife of South America mentioned that many people kept kinkajous as pets, which is what started my pestering. That's probably why they didn't buy me the other books in the series. Who knows what else would have been recommended as a suitable pet?

Paris Hilton used to have a pet kinkajou, until it bit her badly enough that she needed hospital treatment.

I really want an African Wild Dog. DH is up for it as well! Just need to find a pup. Maybe I should get 2?
