Most things on MN go over my head. Nastiness, I ignore generally. Heated debates, I stay out of.

For the first time my bloody is literally boiling about something I've just read.

Please please remember there is a person behind the screen that you are talking to. Imagine a person close to the edge, a vulnerable person. Someone whose only means of support is to turn to mn.

I've had a hard time lately and have openly posted on here. Tbh, I only ever really post when I am feeling vulnerable. I have had nothing but support and understanding, thankyou

But, would you want to be the person responsible for tipping someone over the edge? Be nice people, please.

You didn't draw attention to it ... it absolutely leaps out of the thread!

bibbitybobbityyhat · 19/03/2016 12:49

"I survived before MN and I'd survive if it shut down tomorrow. I feel as though people who use it for support are being criticised! I accept I may be feeling over sensitive though!"

I am absolutely not criticising anyone, I promise.

Could you be a little kinder to the English language please? You blood was not literally boiling, it was the same temperature it always is.

And there may be some real people on this forum, but rather a lot of unreal people too. And all of the people voluntarily come on here and splash themselves across aibu or whatever, so they can take what comes. Nobody makes them!

True bibbity!

I agree with everyone else that there is plenty of kindness, help and support on here.

But (for the millionth time) if people get too involved, use MN as a counselling service or think it's some kind of real world OR one homogenous clump of people with one voice and one opinion...they are a bit silly.

It's largely a chat forum, a gossip site, something to do when we are bored - it's full of funny, intelligent people which make it entertaining.

And it's ridiculous, whiny and childish to bleat on about 'nastiness' and also to start the billionth thread about How Awful Mumsnet Is.

Do you think you could take things a little less literally?

I'm fairly sure it's not going to come as a shock to be told their blood was not literally boiling.

JanetOfTheApes · 19/03/2016 13:13

Merely trying to preserve the feelings of the poor words. Nobody considers them, the poor wee things.

chelle792 · 19/03/2016 18:54

Haha worra I have had a bit of a temperature today so maybe my blood really did boil Grin

I think people have misunderstood my incoherent thoughts. I don't even really think I fully explained my thoughts. I pretty much am one of these naïve delusional people that does think everyone is nice and gets a shock when people aren't.

I don't think I was necessarily just saying that people on MN should be nice but that was the focus. I just think generally people should be nice.

Anyway, enough of dreaming about utopia
