To think I actually have SIX jobs?

Find it very amusing when someone asks me 'so what do you do?' as I could be here all day listing everything... events, characters, nanny, model, dance, recruit..... Sleep.... Do it all again Lol

I should just say "portfolio career" or carry around my CV with me everywhere when asked!

If your company is so successful, why do you need so many additional jobs to make ends meet?
The only people I know who take on extra jobs are ones with money issues, not ones with very successful primary jobs

pavlovapippa · 16/03/2016 18:04

sparechange the additional jobs you talk about (modelling, dancing and nannying) are just things that I am passionate about and enjoy. Yes, I could rely solely on my business to live comfortably but I would rather live happily and doing things that I enjoy (and getting paid for it too) than comfortably!

I own my own business (it's extremely successful....just incase you were wondering Wink)

If someone called me a Boss Babe or a Mumtrepreneur I would kick them! Grin

PaulAnkaTheDog · 16/03/2016 18:05

Anna has red hair?! Man, the colour on my TV is really screwed up! Sad

pavlovapippa · 16/03/2016 18:05

I should probably make it known that I often am not paid for the modelling and dancing, they are more favours to friends and/or competitions

Pavlova what's your event company called? I can't be the only one that wants to look it up on Facebook?!

curren · 16/03/2016 18:06

So you have kids, a business, are a nanny, dancer and model in your spare time.

Sorry don't believe it. I expect the nannying for is looking after your own kids or having someone else's kids over on a play date

pavlovapippa · 16/03/2016 18:08

Waitrose I will be more than happy to share you the link if you're in my area. Otherwise, there's no reason to put myself out there for further ridicule.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 16/03/2016 18:08

There's really no need to make it known. No one actually asked! Seriously though, what was the need to post this? It did absolutely nothing except show you to be a massive brag and I'm sure you most know that. You would have to have absolutely zero self awareness not to.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 16/03/2016 18:08

I don't know what area you're in?!

sparechange · 16/03/2016 18:09

You know that something you do, unpaid, in your spare time, because you love it or want to compete is the very definition of a hobby, right?
It isn't a job any more than my occasional 10k makes me a professional athlete

PaulAnkaTheDog · 16/03/2016 18:10

I would genuinely love to see it. Not to mock but because you go on and on about it. It's literally the only thing you've posted about since you joined, so I am intrigued about this Premier Princess Events Company.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 16/03/2016 18:11

Your events business to all those Z listers is run through facebook and you still have to nanny and model at the same time... I think we have different ideas about what constitutes a successful business!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 16/03/2016 18:11

You did say you loved talking about it, I was just interested!

curren · 16/03/2016 18:12

I should probably make it known that I often am not paid for the modelling and dancing, they are more favours to friends and/or competitions

That's not a job. That's a hobby

PaulAnkaTheDog · 16/03/2016 18:13

I'm saying Essex area.

curren · 16/03/2016 18:16

Success is objective.

I count my business as a success, because it's pays both me and dh a wage and we work from home.

And I can spend the day working in my PJs.Grin which I did today!

Seeyounearertime · 16/03/2016 18:16

In this topic:
"Woman has 1 job and kids"

What an exciting read this is. wow.

in other news,
"The world turned today and most people got 1 day older."

Hoppinggreen · 16/03/2016 18:17

None of us mean to offend?
Not been here long have you?

Floggingmolly · 16/03/2016 18:18

So you've never had a paid modelling or dancing gig? Hmm. No need to add them to your verbal CV, then, is there? That's two of your six "jobs" you don't have to seek approval for if when anybody asks what you do for a living.

NotNowPike · 16/03/2016 18:20

So , what is your AIBU ? Confused
Or did you just come on here to boast ?

Xmasbaby11 · 16/03/2016 18:21

I don't get the point of your post OP.

elizabethdraper · 16/03/2016 18:22

Do you have children or is this yet another I am fabulous post.

MySordidCakeSecret · 16/03/2016 18:23

oh dear god pip!! how many times have you managed to tell us all on mumsnet that now?! Hmm

Seeyounearertime · 16/03/2016 18:23

FloggingMolly

I've seen your name around these boards and i've been tempted to ask, the threads have always seemed important though and i've not wanted to derail, not so worried about this thread. Grin

Your name, I have to ask, is it after the band or is it a coincidence?
I wouldnt say I'm a fan of theirs particularly but i love the Drunken Lullabies album.
