I was just going to say, why did they post that? It's not even well written. The Guardian used to be an excellent site. What caused it to go downhill so fast?

Even if it's an arranged marriage, actually I would have thought especially if it's an arranged marriage, both parties have to put some work in. This guy sounds like he's been sulking ever since the wedding date was set. What a loser.

I agree the bit about not knowing her favourite colour sounds a bit Confused... However if he's never really dated before this arranged marriage it's possible he thinks this is the type of legitimate question people ask on dates when they are actually interested in people. He could be quite young and naïve. I wouldn't even know what my own favourite colour is let alone DH... Hmm

Awful. I feel sorry for him but even more so for his wife. I really hope that she leaves him because it sounds like he will never step up and let her go.
