Love it all except chris Evans and Steve Wright.

FourEyesGood · 11/03/2016 23:41

I'd have to be paid to listen to Elaine Paige but I love most of the rest of Radio 2. I'd rather give up booze than R2.

I was on Popmaster once.

Postitblue · 12/03/2016 00:10

I recon if I was on pop master I'd be rubbish but I always do well at home ha! Steve is a bit cheese sometimes but love him for it. Chris Evans can be a bit me me me...
I was wondering about Pause for thought ( which I really like despite not bring religious) where did it come from?

Booze vs r2.... There's only one way to find out... Fight!

I pretty much listen to R2 all morning but I can't stand Steve Wright. I couldn't stand him 100 years ago when he was on R1.don't really like weekend R2 either.

Yorkie27 · 12/03/2016 00:18

I love Saturday and Sunday evenings, Liza tarbuck, Paul gambacinni, Michael ball, makes me feel v middle aged tho and I wonder how I am here! I remember Steve Wright 1982 it was such a funny show but I can't stand it now.

TheCatsFlaps · 12/03/2016 00:23

YABU. Having worked in an office for all of a month where R2 was on all the time, if I ever have to listen to it again it would be too fucking soon!

morningtoncrescent62 · 12/03/2016 08:26

YAdefinitelyNBU. Steve Wright - highlight of the day. And I love Chris Evans apart from when a royal baby is born, at which point I have to stick Al Jazeera on the telly to get away from it all. I'm singing along with Sounds of the 60s at the moment. Spin us another disc, Brian! Oooh, it's Chubby Checker.

Lolimax · 12/03/2016 08:28

Love daytime weekday Radio 2, not a huge fan of the weekend stuff.

Bearbehind · 12/03/2016 08:40

YABU- week days are dreadful now.

I can't stand the way Chris Evans and Steve Wright have to have an adoring posse all the time andJeremy Vine just talks over people and doesn't listen to what they actually say.

Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo are ok at push but I have to turn the others off.

Savagebeauty · 12/03/2016 08:41

Weekends are best.. Johnnie Walker actually knows his music.

Mia1415 · 12/03/2016 08:42

YANBU I love Chris Evans, Jeremy vine & Simon Mayo. I used to love Steve Wright too but he annoys me now.

DurhamDurham · 12/03/2016 08:46

I love listening to Chris Evans on a morning, the disappointment is palpable when the radio comes on on a Monday morning and it isn't him.
I also enjoy listening to Jeremy Vine, I only get to listen to him if I'm out and about drinking to appts for my job, I always join in with the discussions and I think Jeremy always has a balanced view. He seems very genuine.

Simon Mayo is ok but a bit smug sometimes, I think I prefer his team to him. Steve Wright is funny but some of his features are a tad boring, I do enjoy the factoids though.

I hate the muppets song with a passion so have to switch over while that's playing on Mayo's show.

ArgyMargy · 12/03/2016 09:09

I physically cannot listen to Ken Bruce or Elaine Page but love Simon Mayo, Graeme Norton, Jamie Cullum. And sadly missing Sir Terry.

I love r2. Chris Evans annoys me but I still listen.

MozzchopsThirty · 12/03/2016 09:13

Love it except for Ken Bruce!! And Elaine Paige, she's irritating as hell

Strangely love Paul ogrady on a Sunday evening, also Michael ball.

Jojoanna · 12/03/2016 09:15

I enjoy r2 can't understand why Steve Wright is still on everyday and Sunday's too.

DurhamDurham · 12/03/2016 09:15

Pheq If my boss is reading this, I don't, I really really don't Grin I always wait until I'm at the meeting before swigging the gin!!

TheCrumpettyTree · 12/03/2016 09:17

Yes I love it! Apart from the sounds of the 60s on a Saturday morning (so now). Makes my ears bleed.

Postitblue · 12/03/2016 09:21

Ah poor old Ken :) does dermot still have a weekend show? I was suprised he seemed to know his stuff too (as opposed to seeing him on that sat night singing show...)

molyholy · 12/03/2016 10:58

Ken bruce. Yes. Graham norton. Yes. Elaine paige yes. But for the music. She always sound pissed as a fart. A few other shows are okay. But for the love of god, will someone sack steve wright. I cannot describe how much of a fucking wanker I think he is. Unfunny twat with his unfunny cronies. TWAT.

Alohamora · 12/03/2016 11:55

Chris Evans has got more annoying over time unfortunately. Loved him doing Drive Time. Love Simon Mayo and Graham Norton. Dermot 'apostrophe right after the O'Leary I can't stand and as for Steve Wright, he's definitely had his day.

TheCrumpettyTree · 12/03/2016 12:01

I love Dermot, just generally.

Janeymoo50 · 12/03/2016 12:09

Love Vanessa first thing (was on in June for the birthday slot), meh to Evans, love Ken, cannot abide JV (so listen to something else), Wrighty is ok, some good tunes, Mayo ok, love the confessions. EP on a sunday Nooooooooo (that laugh of hers!!!!), although love the musical songs. Best of all is Paul O Grady on sunday tea time, brilliant show.
