I criticised her for her surnames because I think changing your surname is foolish, and if you have done it once and got divorced it's double foolish to do it again, especially for a man you have known for mere months before getting married. It demonstrates bad judgement and a certain sense of desperation and man pleasing.

Grilled - I do agree with some of your points although I don't have a problem with gossip generally. I read the blinds, so if I want to chat as part of a gossip thread - which in fairness is clearly identified as such through the title, then you don't have to click on it! However there is a fine line between calling out hypocrisy (a family which condemns gay people whilst hiding the sexuality of one of its members, for example), and name calling about things like someone's origins and background.

Am not particularly fussed about C F-V. I think the surname thing is up for debate as the on dit is that the second marriage was a sham, so it's relevant. Likewise the rumours are that actually JB was a fairly nice bloke whose only mistake was to get sucked into all of this. The 'controlling' rumours are rumoured themselves to have been spun as part of the publicity. However her childhood and background is her business - it's nasty and unnecessary to call her 'common'. Also picking apart someone's physical characteristics is pretty cruel, but the flip side to that is cosmetic surgery. Am I going to criticise someone for having cankles? Nope, I have them myself and there ain't a damn thing you can do about them, it's the body you were born with. Am I going to criticise Kylie Jenner for having had a stupid amount of plastic surgery at 18? Damn straight I am - because she is the one who is flogging makeup, lingerie, 'lifestyle' apps and all manner of shite on the back of that surgery, as well as knowing that there are hordes of insecure teens who will be running off for Juvederm injections to copy her.

Well I had no idea until I saw your this thread OP. What magazines do your read. I watch the news and look at it online and haven't seen a thing about it so I can only assume its something you'd see in Heat magazine. Haven't seen it mentioned on here before now either.

While there are people who would not care less if a pop star, film star etc is gay, there are people and areas of the world where it would be an issue and would affect record sales, tours, box office figures etc. That means less income. So some choose to hide behind relationships created to allow both parties to be who they are in private and present and 'acceptable' image to the people who would not be fans if they knew they were gay.
