To think that Cheryl F-V's 'romance' with Liam Payne is a publicity stunt

I mean who really gives a crap who she's shagging but oh no, she has to offer hints via social media and then the big unveiling of this latest celebrity 'couple', photos of them hand-in-hand on a dinner date [vom]

And just in case any of the plebs don't quite get that this is 'true love', she wears a big fuck off gold necklace spelling it out Hmm

Is Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, or whatever the fuck her surname is this week, a big tedious, attention seeking bore or AIBU?

Also to add as why certain band members haven't come out - there is a huge difference in everyone knowing around you and how you are officially presented because you are under management saying you have to be seen as a womaniser or have a long term girlfriend or area baby daddy from a one night stand.

And actually in 2016 isn't that far worse? That management thinks it is better to sell a 16-22 year old as a serial womaniser and his boyfriend as a father from a one night stand than actually being in a long term relationship because they are both men? Once you go down that rabbit hole and realise the implications you can see why this group of fans HAVE kept banging on about seeing the truth and why they are acknowledged and clearly appreciated by H and L.

JolseBaby · 13/03/2016 17:23

I've googled the bear thing and don't really get it TBH. However that's not a bad thing, because I spend far too much time reading this kind of mindless gossip already Grin

JolseBaby · 13/03/2016 17:26

Galaxy - the consequences of the publicity machine can be very real and very damaging. If it's true - IF - then BG alleges that the girl was genuinely in love, there was a baby and the whole thing has gone boom. Consequently her life - and the child's life - have been turned upside down by a PR machine, all to cover up his sexuality. It's very, very sad.

Galaxymum · 13/03/2016 17:34

Well it would if there IS a baby.

There are many stories surrounding Babygate. It depends which tabloid/website you read.

And even different babies depending on which photo you see.

Yup it is that shady.

But the disappearing and reappearing tattoos in the baby pictures versus other pics is the best part of babygate.

In years to come it'll be like "Remember when Elton John ACTUALLY got married?" We'll say "Remember when they made us think Louis actually was a dad with anyone other than Harry?" I may sound mad (I've been told!) but I honestly believe this IS the hugest story to happen in 2016.

But the paternity test will be out soon. Very soon I think.

JolseBaby · 13/03/2016 17:47

Sorry - my reference was to the JR mess, where there most definitely is a baby (sadly).

No idea about the Louis thing though. BG hasn't said anything about it, apart from BJ allegedly lying about being on the pill when they got together. Interesting!!

HelenaDove · 13/03/2016 18:11

BillSykes i had NO idea her DHs dad had died.

SC has always come across to me as very manipulative. I worry about what celebrity culture as a whole is doing to young people. Those who go on these shows and those looking on. The whole culture we are in now. Instagram....etc.

And WTF is it with older women and One Direction. They are young people. I see them as kids. I was approaching 40 when they won X factor (i only see these progs when im at DMs) i cant stand them.

The surname thing being discussed on here reminds me of when Tina Turner divorced Ike.

When asked if she was going to keep that surname she said "yes because ive worked damn hard for it"

If DH and i were to split i would keep his surname because a. i like it and prefer it to my maiden name.
b we have been together for a long time and i dont see the point in wiping history.

We married in the late 90s and it didnt occur to me not to change my name but back then i didnt really think it was a viable option...it was just seen as what you did.

fillingmakesmevom · 13/03/2016 18:33

Jesus, this is like gossip girl

SeaMagic · 13/03/2016 19:22

Love that video feellikeafailure Grin

And yes, Galaxymum, it is like falling down the rabbit hole... Are you saying that Harry and Louis have gotten married and that Louis hasn't become a father/doesn't actually have a baby [mind boggled].

But what pray tell are 'Argos' and 'Freddie Day'?

OP posts:
Galaxymum · 13/03/2016 19:43

The RBB had a phone with apps in its countdown. Included on the phone screen was "Freddie Day" which links very coincidentally to the birth of Louis' son in Jan who is named Freddie Reign. We won't mention all the times RBB dressed as Freddie Mercury from Queen. Almost as if the bears knew. Biggest conspiracy of 2015-2016 from two gay teddy bears and friends!
Some people think Louis and Harry are already married and others think they are engaged and planning their wedding. Harry has visited quite a few wedding related places recently.

jeremyisahunt · 13/03/2016 20:23

I have no idea what's going on in this thread.

JolseBaby · 13/03/2016 20:24

That's gossip for you Jeremy - it's sometimes all a bit random!

SeaMagic · 13/03/2016 20:44

Okay... so baby is named after Freddie Mercury and Queen - hence named 'Freddie' and 'Reign'?

But it seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to, let alone roping in a willing baby mother, to cover up someone's homosexuality... Why just not give LT a pretty girlfriend [beard] and leave it at that?

And what does 'Argos' refer to?

And the bears couldn't just be a way to wind up the Larries? No, not at all.

Galaxymum · 13/03/2016 22:55

Well they spent a lot of money, effort, thought and time to come up with the costumes and accessories just to wind up their fans if they were.

PrimalLass · 13/03/2016 23:33

And why not?

I've no idea if they are together or not, but the bears don't do it for me.

MargotLovedTom · 14/03/2016 00:22

Could be a way of relieving the monotony of being on tour? They could've been pissing themselves seeing the fans were getting ever more hysterical at every tweet. They probably had great fun devising elaborate hints, stunts and costumes.

Pengillygirl · 22/03/2016 10:39

Larries, we now have a LarryStylinsson appreciation thread in full swing on the Sleb Twaddle Board. Come and join in! GrinGrin

NotGonnaAnswerThePhone · 22/03/2016 12:35
  1. I struggle to believe that either of them need stunts for publicity, they are constantly in the papers anyway
  1. They only posted the instagram photo the day before it came out in the papers (assume they were given a heads up and wanted to beat the press)
  1. They have been dating since December (according to news) and hadn't flashed their relationship around prior to their "outing"

Therefore I think yabu

hollieberrie · 22/03/2016 14:16

Woo! I'll be right over Pengilly . Mn definitely needs it's own Larry thread, indeed perhaps a whole topic Wink
