OP are you a northerner? I'm thinking of that Peter Kay sketch when he was down south and couldn't get 'ought moist' in the chippy.

I love gravy. I have been known to drink cups of it like coffee. Even I wouldn't put in on beans.

YABU and possibly pregnant.

ghosty haha! We have a trusted family recipe that came from my grandma that's basically spaghetti, Campbell's condensed tomato soup, some chopped up bacon/ham if you're feeling fancy, and cheese.

I really like it and still have it sometimes. My mum has it every weekend pretty much Grin

(I should say that my grandma was actually a really good cook and made everything from scratch - pies and lasagnes and stuff - but pasta sauce perhaps passed her by!)

Oh and Jizzy my dad always puts a tin of vegetable soup in corned beef hash. Which is actually quite nice (though not how I'd do it, I prefer a drier hash!).

Scotch pie, baked beans and gravy = food of the gods(the gravy needs to be on the top of the pie in the sunken bit).

On anything else with beans (sausage and mash aside), very, very, wrong.

Lurkedforever1 · 29/02/2016 20:12

Yabvvvvu and vomit inducing. Baked beans should never ever touch other foods. But especially other liquids. The thought makes me feel ill. And the sight would make me physically heave. I'd rather eat my own vomit.

Gravy is ok provided it's only combined with solid food that doesn't change consistency. Can't say I'd fancy it on fish, but sounds far more reasonable to me than having beans on a plate touching other food.

I am sure this has been pointed out but IHRTWT, you are obviously a Northerner OP, am I right?

nothanksbyenow · 29/02/2016 20:55

Just came here to add my vomit to the pile!

Oooblimey · 29/02/2016 21:09

Absolutely not!! Gravy on baked beans is yummy!
But I also love tomato soup poured over chips - try it! Yummy!!

I don't much care for hash ughnotagain, so don't think I'm qualified to comment!
