To ask you all to help calm me down re dd's vaccinations

Dd is due her 8 week jabs tomorrow. Since she was born I've suffered terribly with ptsd, pnd and extreme anxiety - particularly around dd being ill.

I know she has to have the vaccines but the idea of taking my tiny helpless baby along to be jabbed by something which may make her ill is making me feel incredibly anxious already. I took ds and didn't worry but everything has been different this time round.

Please tell me how she will be ok after the jabs. I know the risk is greater not having them but it just feels awful taking my healthy baby for something which might harm her.

I am not anti vaccine. However I am all for information.

I would never take any medication prescribed by the GP without reading the enclosed leaflet for side effects. Therefore when it came to my children's vaccines I read the leaflets given to me AND I researched as much as I could (proper research not daily fail hype) discussed and made my decisions accordingly. GP disagreed with one of my decisions - we discussed and ultimately I ended up taking her advice.

By saying "she'll be fine" most are drawing on their own experiences - however there are a minority (and it is a minority) that experience different outcomes. See www.gov.uk/vaccine-damage-payment/overview

I would say that you should delay by a couple of days and research - you will then be more informed and if you decide to go ahead with the vaccines you will be (a bit) more content that you are doing the right thing. You'll be more convinced of you decision, whatever that might be.

The outcome will likely be what I experience - I worry about the vaccines that I've given them- and I worry about the ones that I haven't Confused

that's a mums lot I suppose.
