Wow these kind of threads are so cringey.

Like the toe curling 'where is everyone? [sad face]' threads. And the 'we're the real mumsnetters from the days when everything was hilarious and non PC and, like, really intelligent and everything'.

Mind you, me and thee are probably a tad different now to 10 years ago too so only seems fair to let MN change too these days I can't see well enough to tell whether there are green fields or high rise flats

I am not sure Mrsjayy. Personally, I know that once I had joined and found my feet I used to start a lot of threads without giving it much thought, and it was great.

Now I don't. I really think about starting a thread and usually don't bother. Even replying to threads- I type, and delete and retype and try and really think about it.

So something must have changed even since 2011.
