You don't use your real name on here anyway so why would somewhere else be more confidential? Or have I missed something?

'To get away from people like you, Sooty'.

Isn't that the kind of shit the original Mouldies pulled? Invitation only and members could be blackballed?

That sounds delightful, OP. Have you been drinking?

There are never enough people on spin off sites. It ends up with you chatting to yourself and a handful of mates that you had on facebook anyway.

But knock yourself out if you want to. There aren;t any laws against it.

Damn it...I guess no secret club for me if I can't even get my liquids straight.

Report
MrsJayy · 19/02/2016 23:42

Would it be by invitation only ? Would you check people out for their PCness

Report
ThumbWitchesAbroad · 19/02/2016 23:43

You can of course. But whether or not people will stick with it is anyone's guess.
I was on one of the spin-offs - can't even remember what it was called now! - and just found it too difficult to keep up with that and MN and FB. 2 large sites seems to be my max, and I'm not quite ready to dump MN yet.

They don't work. I was part of a group on netmums that went off to do our own group and my God it got nasty really quickly.

I am in a lovely group on Facebook of people from netmums which has been running for a few years and its wonderful. We all get on well and its very supportive. That's where we put stuff we don't want made public. It works well.

I couldn't cope with another forum. I have enough trouble keeping up on here, Facebook and SimCity.

You should hold interviews to determine if people will be allowed in. They could submit applications with examples of their best posts for your consideration.

That should make it as time-consuming and divisive as possible. Grin

There could be annual performance evaluations too, with the possibility of your access being denied. Just think of the bureaucracy you could create.
