To think its not that weird to kiss your mum on the lips?

So theres been articles in the DM about Sam Fairers boyfriend kissing his Mum on the lips and "how gross it is"

I always have. Still do and im 28.

Yes. To me, kissing on the lips is reserved for partners, not friends or family. I find it a bit yuck otherwise.

I kiss my parents and sister and nan on the lips (as well as DH and DD). I used to kiss my other nan and grandad on the lips too but they're dead now. That's the sub total of who I would kiss on the lips though- there's no one else.

Just watched the clip. Is she actually kissing his lips? Is she not kissing his cheeks both times? But close to his mouth so it's easy to mistake for a mouth kiss?

DH is the only one lucky enough to get a kiss on the lips.
Everyone else including my dogs (who are often seen licking their genitals/arse) get a kiss on the cheek.

That what I thought OvO. A kiss on each cheek, quite close to mouth. They're not exactly snogging or even nearly snogging.
And I never kiss my DM or DS on the lips.

She definitely kisses him on the lips. The poor girlfriend had to release a statement about it saying she thinks it's sweet.

I wouldn't kiss anyone on the lips apart from a partner, not even the DCs. I think it's weird. DS has tried as DH does but I don't like it. I don't even like MIL kissing me on the cheek but I'm very funny about who is allowed to be in my personal space.

I always kiss my little kids on the lips, so does DH. In his culture it's common. I wouldn't kiss my older child or adult child but that's for me and mine. I don't judge other's or make assumptions about someone else's realtionship with their mother over a kiss. That's just typical Daily Mail narrow minded bollox.

I find it so weird that people find kissing on the lips weird. I actually feel creeped out by people saying they think it's creepy. Reading the posts on here have made me feel a bit icky and involuntarily clench everything and hold my breath. I suppose it's because it is something that feels so natural to me. I kiss my parents and my dc on the lips. DS1 (3) kisses everyone on the lips as well. We are a nude family too so all happy to see each other in the buff etc.

However, i don't really kiss on the mouth sexually. So i have never ever seen it as a thing to only do with your partner.

I actually feel quite sad for people who are so exclusive with their smackers

This also makes me heave. I don't even feel comfortable naked when alone never mind seeing my family in the scud! Maybe I'm an uptight person and that's why I don't kiss my mum on the lips Grin

God, you lot are a bit uptight in my opinion, I kiss loads of people on the lips, parents, teenage sons, brother, husbands of good friends, even, God forbid, my in- laws!

I'm am Scottish by the way, not a touchy freely continental.

I kiss my 2 year old in the lips but I don't suppose I will still be doing that when she's much older. I used to kiss my parents on the lips until I was about 7 or 8 maybe. Just at bedtime kiss goodnight.
