Bond went to Eton (got expelled if remember the books correctly). Arguably DC isn't posh enough but I think he made a fair job of it. The books are darker than the films so I don't think DC can be blamed for the films becoming darker.
I think Idris is too old to do enough films to make his casting realistic.

Chris Hemsworth? I might graciously accept him, I think. He can do a well to do English accent convincingly. Give him a few years to mature, like a fine Stilton, and he will be perfect.
