Do these stars not look in the mirror?
Or have honest friends to tell them?
Why does no-one wear tights anymore?

I'm glad I'm not famous. I can wear what I want, where I want and nobody gives a shit. I bet a man wouldn't sit there and say she should be wearing tights. Women are the worst for judging other women. I think she looks stunning and if I can look half as good as her at 55, I'll be very happy.

Botchit · 15/02/2016 20:47

Yes Lottie, in my opinion she has wonderful, shapely legs. She has good calf definition. That's my no nonsense, honest opinion. Do you disagree?

Lottie2611 · 15/02/2016 20:47

If you pay for a good branded fake tan, you won't look orange or streaky, or look like you've been dipped in gravy. You can get a fake tan for paler skinned ladies so it looks perfectly natural while giving them a healthy glow.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 15/02/2016 20:47

Her legs are th same colour as mine and I love that she gets them out. I've also noticed a significant number of young pale women are now out and proud with their limbs - good on them and I wish I'd had that confidence at their age.

She looks edgy, which I'm sure was her intent. Tights would have made the outfit mummy. Fake tan would have made it trashy.

NoelHeadbands · 15/02/2016 20:48

So pale legs aren't healthy?

Gabilan · 15/02/2016 20:48

There are very few reasons to want to return to the early 19th century, but the appreciation of fair, white skin is one of them.

And not tanning is much more fun when you realise that it annoys the likes of lottie.

RudeElf · 15/02/2016 20:48

EXAMPLE OF AN OPINION

"They would look better if she had tanned them a bit!

Obs2016 · 15/02/2016 20:48

Her legs may have looked better in tights. But it depends on the shoe - you don't normally wear tights with open toed shoes.

MistressMerryWeather · 15/02/2016 20:49

Fake tan, Supergrass.

It's the 90's again.

Lottie2611 · 15/02/2016 20:49

It doesn't annoy me. The more women who leave their legs like that, the better mine look Wink that was a joke

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 15/02/2016 20:49

Little, you really can't get a fake tan for my colouring. I have tried them all. Now aged 45 I have decided to embrace my beautiful creamy Saxon skin, in all its glory. Leg hinges and all.

ShesAStar · 15/02/2016 20:50

Why would she rub fake tan into her beautiful creamy skin? Beauty has many different a looks, not just 'the only way is Essex' fake tan shite. All skin tones are beautiful.

Would you have all pale skinned people darken themselves to the appropriate level of tanned?

ghostyslovesheep · 15/02/2016 20:51

'healthy glow' or totally fake looking unless I do my whole body and I am Julianne Moore - I don;t have time for that shit I'm too busy counting my Oscars and cash

HoneyDragon · 15/02/2016 20:51

What do you mean again? Who said they were over?

iPaid · 15/02/2016 20:51

I'm not in the least bit jealous; Julianne Moore is beautiful and I, like the majority of people, am not. I think her legs, which would be fine when she's off duty spoil the effect she's trying to achieve.

And I love the fact that she has lines and wrinkles and still looks lovely.

Sorry Lottie but fake tan never looks natural, however streak free it is.

It can look very nice on some people, but it's as easy to spot on someone as make up is.

LeaLeander · 15/02/2016 20:51

A man in his fifties with thin pale legs wouldn't really get away with shorts at a formal event either.

^ This. It's all about the context.

Botchit · 15/02/2016 20:51

I agree Lottie, a good fake tan doesn't look streaky but I prefer pale skin tone. She looks sophisticated and edgy, as I said before, not run of the mill like all the other also tanners.

Lottie2611 · 15/02/2016 20:52

You've all just not found the right fake tan haha

Gabilan · 15/02/2016 20:54

Pale legs are healthy. They're an adaptation to cold climates. Tans are a sign of skin damage but seemed healthy when they were a sign you could afford a foreign holiday and before the risk of skin cancer was fully understood.

DecaffCoffeeAndRollupsPlease · 15/02/2016 20:55

But WHY change the colour of your skin in the first place, what's wrong with the colour it grows on your body?

ghostyslovesheep · 15/02/2016 20:55

'get away with ...' what would he be arrested by the bloody fashion police

To be fair, many celebs can't get away with bare legs on the red carpet. I
That includes the young thin celebs with knobbly knees.

gooseberryroolz · 15/02/2016 20:59

This post wasn't about black peoples legs.

If it was, would you have managed to refrain from saying that her skin should be a different colour Lottie?
