I know he is despised on MN. Today his voice is broken and he is a parody... But yesterday, back in 1965, AIBU to love him then?

He had nice eyes, I suppose.
The young Jagger wasn't in anyway shape or form your average pin up, but I would have been swooning Grin

John was always my favourite. As others have said, not necessarily a nice person and very damaged but in spite of that he was the one I'd choose.

Macca never did it for me. George was gorgeous but in a little boy lost way. Ringo, too much of a joke for me.

I still think they were the best band ever and I adore their songs.

God I hate The Beatles, ruined popular music and talentless, not to mention ugly.
I guess we're all different. Grin

Pelvic, that song is John's.

Macca wouldn't have done it for me. Too puppy dog. George was the hottest Beatle.

The young Jagger and the young Keith Richards though...

Most definitely NOT talentless. Just as well we don't have to agree.

Though none of them were particularly good looking.

I'm Grin at baw face, so accurate. Kind of doughy looking.
He's also a big headed liar. He didn't pay a penny towards his 'arts' school but uses his name to promote it and pretend he's so generous.
My dad was one of the accountants trying to get money out of Paul to pay for the school he commissioned. Huge amount of building work and renovations were done.
Paul didn't pay anything to the company my dad worked for which was a huge amount.
My dad said he was a thoroughly unpleasant person to deal with.

Yes now Jagger - you might argue he was no oil painting, but he was really sexy.

thinking yes it does:

Tomorrow Never Knows (tape loop/Musique concrete)
Temporary Secretary (synths)

And thousands more, if you want me to list them.

I'm of the era when we all used to swoon over them. George was my favourite to look at, having a cheeky face, but I was in awe of Paul and his musical talent. They were easy on the eye to watch as a band, looking like they were having a good time and mocking the establishment. I went off him with the farce that was his relationship with Heather Mills and made me question whether he had been a good husband to Linda. (I know, I know, it's none of my business!) He still looked good I have to admit during his Heather days. Nowadays, past his prime, we indulge his looks and failing voice like we would an ageing relative. Don't think he should have had top billing at the Olympics as it highlighted his twilight in the music business.

Also, The Beatles changed the world. If it wasn't for them, bands wouldn't bother writing their own material, wouldn't spend more time than they needed to in the studio, and they wouldn't bother changing their sound from album to album.

Whether you like them or not, it would be factually inaccurate to label them 'rubbish'.

Paul was lovely and always my favourite, with those eyes and that grin. He gets some very unfair criticism, though I don't like the dyed hair at all and sadly, his voice is not what it was. A few years ago my niece served him coffee on a train, and spilled it all over the seat and his jacket. She was nearly in tears but he was so kind and sweet, just joked about it being an old jacket anyway (as if!) and helped her clear up the mess. She's been a fan ever since.

I think he was a bit baby-faced. George was probably the best-looking according to my tastes, but still doesn't quite do it for me. I like scruffier, hairier types.

Paul McCartney wasn't attractive. George Harrison scraped in by not being as repugnant as the other three. Mick Jagger was an is horrifically ugly, but has immense presence.

Peter Cook (not in a band but around that generation) was truly beautiful.

My dbro served Paul McCartney in a petrol station. He bought some petrol station flowers for Heather I guess. My db was struggling to wrap them, as he wasn't very good at it, and was so nervous. Paul McCartney was really nice to him and told him not to worry. Db plucked up the courage to ask for an autograph, and Paul signed the back of a till receipt for him, and wrote "Cheers" on it. Db was very nervous, and kept saying cheers.

I saw a photo of him and Mick Jagger sat on a train facing each other having a fag circa 1960 something in JL the other day and thought how lovely he looked.

Ringo was the favourite Beatle in the USA (hence the most fan mail). Looks like he was still getting it until a few years ago:
