I am probably over thinking it! Just seems an odd phrase for a kids tshirt.

I object to slogans altogether think they are tacky.

Well, when they're not vulgar.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 29/01/2016 18:30

hefzi I'm Grin at the lobster Tshirt.

What did they say when you told them what the other tshirts said?

Floggingmolly · 29/01/2016 18:34

If it's about running free and untroubled by life's concerns; it shouldn't say let's run away. It's a different message entirely.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 29/01/2016 18:56

It's awful. It should be discontinued.

I can't believe some people think. This message is okay.

rosewithoutthorns · 29/01/2016 19:00

I get where you're coming from OP but I also think its a bit stupid and not creepy.

Aworldofmyown · 29/01/2016 19:01

It made me think of Mary Poppins!!

thelifeofamber · 29/01/2016 19:07

Total overreaction. It's embarrassing to read.

If your child is that impressionable they would do every single thing they read or saw then it's your responsibility to teach them differently.

I watched Peter Pan as a child, I didn't jump out the window thinking I could fly.

Floggingmolly · 29/01/2016 19:08

It doesn't even register in comparison with "Boys are stupid. Throw rocks at them". Anyone remember that little gem from (I think) Primark?

ClaudiaApfelstrudel · 29/01/2016 19:09

I certainly would not buy this for my child but if others want to it's up to them I would frown on them a bit though I have to admit

JeanGenie23 · 29/01/2016 19:09

Surely it's the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the wearer of this Tshirt doesn't think let's run away from home, but let's run free and have an adventure...

Are you objecting because you worry your child will actually run away? If so i think you are greatly underestimating your children to be so easily influenced by a Tshirt. If a child runs away it won't be because of this top!!

thelifeofamber · 29/01/2016 19:10

Paper Towns is a 12A. The way some of you react you would make it as 18.

I thought it was David and Golliath?

FarrowandBallAche · 29/01/2016 19:14

It doesn't make sense.

How are we supposed to decipher who the child is asking?

Friend
Dog
Some pervert on the Internet?

Stupid slogan.

LilaTheTiger · 29/01/2016 19:16

Reminds me of the pic I took on a visit to an old mill/workhouse last summer...

Worst sign ever?

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2016 19:19

I can't get wound up by it TBH.

MistressMerryWeather · 29/01/2016 19:23

I don't think you're supposed to think that hard about it.

FarrowandBallAche · 29/01/2016 19:25

Well why the big clutch of pearls mistress.

It's just a slogan of utter bollocks.

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/01/2016 19:26

The worst slogan I saw on T shirts for young girls was in Romania:

Love is a name
Sex is a game
Forget the name
And play the game.

ShockShockShock

I have no idea Farrow. My pearls are unclutched. :o

FarrowandBallAche · 29/01/2016 19:30

Sorry I didn't mean your pearls per se!

MistressMerryWeather · 29/01/2016 19:32

I think we may agree with each other Farrow.

It's a silly slogan that doesn't really mean anything. It's not supposed to send any messages.
