I'm probably being a horrible judgemental person. But I've yet to see a neck tattoo that doesn't look hideous.

Are there any out there?

Probably against the rules to attach a public photo from a dating site but seen quite a few baddies

The Henry Hoover tattoo was from Bodyshockers with Katie Piper, not Tattoo Fixers.

But yeah, the sheer number of blokes with penis/pubic area tattoos is quite surprising!

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 21/01/2016 19:33

OP never came back... Shit stirrer!

Ughnotagain · 21/01/2016 19:40

I'm not overly keen on them but it depends on the tattoo.

Lou who used to be on Tattoo Fixers, I like hers.

Tbh I'd judge any shit tattoo, neck or elsewhere. And I would likewise judge anyone who only has their neck/throat/hands/face tattooed. Earn your sleeves first and all that.

(I do have tattoos. Just none that'd be visible in trousers and a 3/4 sleeve top.)

YouthHostellingWithChrisEubank · 21/01/2016 19:53

Still would.

I've said that loads of times, so YABU.

A good friend of mine has a lovely, dainty Coptic cross on the back of her neck. Looks beautiful.

I have no tattoos, too chicken.

BlueSmarties76 · 21/01/2016 20:01

We need more PICTURES!!

Here's one I've found:

I'm fairly ambivalent about tattoos. It's not for me, but what other people choose to put on their bodies is none of my business.

I once had a teenager at work tell me that I obviously don't love my kids because I don't have their names tattooed on me though.

The80sweregreat · 21/01/2016 20:52

some people just look awful with the ones up the neck , over the arms, those long line ones ( not sure what they re called) ones on knuckles look really awful. Its just my opinion , of course, but i think they are hideous. I was so upset when eldest son had a small one done on his thigh! I realised it was his choice, he was over 18 too, but still hated it.. I just think they are horrible. Kids names, just why? Im just old fashioned i guess. ( hate beards too, both sons have these! ) grrr

SirChenjin · 21/01/2016 21:06

See - I don't think that's beautiful at all Lady, it's really garish.

Grilledaubergines · 21/01/2016 21:20

That design is beautiful lady. But I would like to see it on wrapping paper or a cushion, not skin.

Not a tattoo fan at all. Horses for courses though and I would never give my opinion about one to its owner.

i don't get the accusations of being judgmental though. We all make judgments. Think you don't, your lying to yourself.

MrsJorahMormont · 21/01/2016 21:33

I love the one that DannyDyer posted, it's really beautiful but the impact is in seeing the whole thing. I'm not a fan of face and neck tattoos. DH sits on interview panels and can never believe how many people have facial / neck tattoos, then come for job interviews in a really traditional profession. He finds it really infuriating that people work really hard to get high level qualifications, only to be rejected because of something so trivial in the scheme of things. So I think lots of people do still judge them, rightly or wrongly.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 21/01/2016 21:33

And.... Just had to drop the kitty here.

PollyIndia · 21/01/2016 21:39

I've go a small tattoo on the back of my neck, and have had lots if people say they like it. So there. QED.

DancingDinosaur · 21/01/2016 21:43

I don't like tattoos and I think ones on the neck / face are particularly grim. But I doubt people who love tattoos give a shiny shit what I think about tattoos, and rightly so.

BonnieF · 21/01/2016 23:20

Tattoos are fashionable at the moment, but when the fashion changes, which it will, because that's what fashions do, there will be a lot of people regretting their tatts.

I predict that tattoo removal will soon become a very big, and very lucrative business.

SirChenjin · 22/01/2016 08:14

Bonnie, completely agree - I've said that in previous threads too! I am seriously considering buying shares in companies that remove tattoos for my DCs - 20/30 years from now there will be queues coming out of every tatt removal clinic in the country.

I agree Downstairs. Tattoo styles go in and out of fashion (just like everything else from clothes to interior design) but tattoos themselves will never go out of fashion because there will always be people that want them!

problembottom · 22/01/2016 11:14

I just don't like tattoos at all. I don't like that neck tattoo on the guy on CBB, and I don't like Cheryl Cole's ass tattoo. I think Harry Styles' scrawls looks ridiculous. David Beckham's gone too far. Safe to say I don't like em.

But I'm always very polite when friends show me their new tattoos... and say oh wow, I love it! Smile
