I'm probably being a horrible judgemental person. But I've yet to see a neck tattoo that doesn't look hideous.

Are there any out there?

Probably against the rules to attach a public photo from a dating site but seen quite a few baddies

I have several tattoos - upper arm, forearms, back and ankle. TBQH I honestly don't give a shit what they'll
Look like when I'm old!
Actually I might have two small tattoos level with my nipples.
Then when I am old I can look in the mirror and see where my saggy tits used to be! GrinWink

SirChenjin · 21/01/2016 13:52

Thecat - totally agree. Perms, black eyeliner and pastel pink lipstick was very fashionable in the mid eighties and I thank every god there is that there wasn't an option back them when I was 16 to make any of those permanent on my body Grin

cleaty · 21/01/2016 13:54

I can't stand tattoos, any tattoo. I am so glad my DP does not have any.
But if you are a friend and have a tattoo, I will be polite and admire it.

Jw35 · 21/01/2016 13:58

Not a fan of tattoos either

dannydyerismydad · 21/01/2016 14:00

The child of this lady is in DS's class.

I'm not normally a tattoo person, but in the flesh, hers is intricate and delicate. I struggle not to stare Blush

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 21/01/2016 14:07

SirChenjin I saw that lizard tattoo and could understand why the guy's family were so repelled. What was he thinking!

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 21/01/2016 14:14

Anyway back to OP I haven't seen many neck tattoos in rl but not having had any body art myself I usually only wonder how much it hurt.

KittyandTeal · 21/01/2016 14:15

I've said it.

Oh that's a lovely next tattoo.

dannydyerismydad · 21/01/2016 14:18

And apologies for the arse. The app does crop photos in a funny way.

Gottagetmoving · 21/01/2016 14:19

I think the issue is less about how good or bad you think they look, and more about whether its any of your fucking business

An opinion is your own business,...and because of freedom of speech, people can express that whether other people like it or not.

Jw35 · 21/01/2016 14:30

Well said Gott!

SirChenjin · 21/01/2016 14:34

Agree Gott

wheelofapps · 21/01/2016 14:43

dannydyer WOW! that is an amazing tattoo!

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 21/01/2016 14:46

I have an ex-DP from my university days who is a tattoo enthusiast and a talented artist and really wanted to be a tattoo artist. He had lots of tattoos anyway but decided to get a beautiful work of art of his own design on his neck as a commitment to his chosen profession when he embarked on an apprenticeship. He's now quite respected in the field and a very talented tattoo artist.

I personally love a well designed tattoo but too squeamish to get one done myself. And as for PPs who mentioned Ruby Rose, I LOVE her. I consider myself straight but she makes me feel a bit funny inside in OITNB Wink

grannytomine · 21/01/2016 14:53

Think I am too old to be a tattoo fan, they seemed to be the preserve of old men when I was young. I was surprised one day when I saw someone with names and d.o.b. on his neck, they were obviously his children as he had the children with him so I heard some of the names. I wondered if he couldn't remember their names and ages but my daughter told me it was fashionable.

WMittens · 21/01/2016 15:32

the tattoo enthusiasts will be along shortly to tell you that you are a snob.

If it waddles like a duck, swims like a duck, flies like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.

MitzyLeFrouf · 21/01/2016 15:36

Why do all the blokes on Taa-oo Fixers have willy taa-oos?

Do not Henry Hoover taa-oos around your knob region!

MitzyLeFrouf · 21/01/2016 15:37

That should say 'Do not get Henry Hoover ta-oos around your knob region.'

But I wouldn't advise hoovering your knob region either. Henry has very strong suction!

WMittens · 21/01/2016 15:38

But I wouldn't advise hoovering your knob region either. Henry has very strong suction!

That's the major selling point.

MitzyLeFrouf · 21/01/2016 15:39
Shock

I never knew sweet little Henry had a dark side.

IfItsGoodEnough4ShirleyBassey · 21/01/2016 15:47

I'm totally in love with the receptionist on Tattoo Fixers, and in awe of her ability to say what the audience at home is thinking, sometimes without opening her mouth.

Branleuse · 21/01/2016 16:03

I think its along much the same lines as pretty girls dont need all that makeup. Girls should look natural. Why would anyone ruin their body, dye their hair, get surgery, wear makeup etc etc. Because they want to. Because they like it. Because they can

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/01/2016 16:06

I hate tattoos. Especially ones you can see...

SirChenjin · 21/01/2016 16:06

Not really - given that no-one has said anything whatsoever on here about neck ta-oos being something that pretty girls shouldn't have.

People can do what they like, providing it doesn't hurt or offend others. Doesn't mean that others can't express opinions on forums about it - or equally, express opinions about other people's opinions.

Thecatisatwat · 21/01/2016 16:48

Oh yes the receptionist is fab, seems bemused by the whole shenanigans. Was the Henry Hoover bloke trying to get it removed? As I recall they gave up part way through because it hurt too much. Having the skin on your knob burnt with a laser hurts. Who knew? Hmm
