Me and my friend went to pizza express amd i got dough balls, i said she can have one and she dipped it in the butter then bite, then dipped it again.
In general i will find this disgusting but to top it all off she is ill
So i said to her why would you dip your eaten dough ball in the butter when you know you are ill and she said im being rude but how? Isnt this common sense?

It's not quite the same as a drinks party with every Tom, Dick and Harry dipping their cocktail sausage in the same devilled sauce

Must have been some party BlushGrin

ShmooBooMoo · 20/01/2016 21:13

I wouldn't like that... Could she not have put some of the dip on her plate?

NorthernRosie · 20/01/2016 21:16

I'm really astounded at all these responses. What does everyone think will happen if close friends share food. I seriously wouldn't think twice

We went into PE once and ordered a pollo pesto, but without chicken, and with no pesto. It was a plate.

I love pizza express for this. I would snog anybody that I would go to pizza express with. It's just a laugh isn't it?

skankingpiglet · 20/01/2016 21:29

Meh. The friends I tend to eat out with are more family than family. I'm really not that bothered about their saliva, they don't have cooties. They can triple dip if they like. If they weren't that close I wouldn't be sharing my food with them because I don't like sharing my food with anyone. Only child syndrome.

dustarr73 · 20/01/2016 21:30

AvaCrowder that was BeaufortBelle paragraph,i was just trying to highlight it.Grin

GNRmama · 20/01/2016 21:31

Really not a big deal. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Gileswithachainsaw · 20/01/2016 21:34

same here.

I have friends I've shared food and drink, with..I've borrowed clothes, I've slept in their beds. with or without them or their kids in it. I've eaten food "lovingly" prepared Hmm by said children Grin and if I've been really lucky I've had my lunch lmost stolen by a cat/dog/child Grin

a double. dipped dough ball wouldn't even register tbh Grin

BeaufortBelle · 20/01/2016 21:34

I wasn't even trying to be naughty - just thinking of that ramekin with the devilled sauce in a ramekin in the middle of a big white plate with lots of little sausages piled round it to dip. Blush

Judydreamsofhorses · 20/01/2016 21:45

Oh god, I wouldn't think twice about this with a close friend or my partner. I wouldn't do it at a party with loads of people dipping though.

pictish · 20/01/2016 21:46

Absolutely Giles. Grin

AppleSetsSail · 20/01/2016 21:53

This would not bother me in the slightest. Isn't this kind of germ-phobic?

totalrecall1 · 20/01/2016 21:56

YANBU

timelytess · 20/01/2016 21:58

Its absolutely nothing compared with putting your toilet seats through the dishwasher.

Notso · 20/01/2016 22:00

Wouldn't bother me with a good friend, my parents, sister or DH.

At a party though it's disgusting.

NotMeNotYouNotAnyone · 20/01/2016 22:04

Yabu

This thought occurred to me as I double dipped at lunch recently then realised I have sex with the only person I was sharing with so we already share cooties anyway.

My best friend and I share food, drink, clothes, beds, it really wouldn't bother me.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 20/01/2016 22:05

Beaufortbelle I think I was at that cocktail party Grin

gamerchick · 20/01/2016 22:08

Double dipping is vile. The first stage of digestion is in the mouth! Lick a spoon and stick it in a tub of yoghurt then watch it go watery around the spoon as your spit does its job.

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/01/2016 22:09

BB - We can see through that facade to your true meaning.

Illyillyilly · 20/01/2016 22:14

Is this really a thing?

RhinestoneCowgirl · 20/01/2016 22:15

Mythbusters tested 'double dipping' and it's completely fine, doesn't spread germs or whatnot.

Powaqa · 20/01/2016 22:26

yep - Mythbusters busted the Double Dipping Muth that it spreads germs

Sallystyle · 20/01/2016 22:29

Gross.. Im not a germaphobe but I don't want to share something that might contains people food crumbs that have been in their mouth.

It's like someone picking up your can of coke after they have eaten..back wash.

Sparklingbrook · 20/01/2016 22:29

I still don't want anyone double dipping when I eat out with them.
