ARGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!! It's so annoying!

See a juicy looking title, click on it . . . thread deleted. Why? What happened!? I MUST know!

Or WORSE! You're really invested in a thread, been following and replying for ages, just spent 10 minutes typing out your most recent epic reply, you hit post . . . thread deleted!

AAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!

Was it the 'help my wife' one?

I'll PM a summary if it was.

diddl · 11/01/2016 13:57

I just clicked onto that as well & it wasn't there!

Notimefortossers · 11/01/2016 14:01

In this case NameChange yes it was and that would be very much appreciated!

But it annoys me all the time....

TheFormidableMrsC · 11/01/2016 14:01

I posted on the "help my wife" one. I hate it when that happens!! I just clicked on it too...gone.

Mind you, I did once start a thread about a deleted thread that I was utterly engrossed in and I got told off by MNHQ Hmm

PersephonePitstop · 11/01/2016 14:04

Ive just clicked on that, it's in fecking 'trending'!

WickedWax · 11/01/2016 14:04

Was it another troll thread? There are far too many of them these days.

I also hate it when threads are deleted at the OP's request and MN cop out with a 'deleted to protect the OP's identity' comment. Hmm

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 11/01/2016 14:06

I clicked from trending too Hmm

YouBastardSockBalls · 11/01/2016 14:06

Yes it was YET another male troll.

Throwingshade · 11/01/2016 14:06

I started a thread about this and trolls in general on Relationships yesterday. It's happening a lot!

diddl · 11/01/2016 14:06

It still is trending!

Piqued my curiosity & then nothing there!!

Notimefortossers · 11/01/2016 14:08

Me from trending too . . . it's still there!

OP posts:
Notimefortossers · 11/01/2016 14:10

I don't understand a troll's motivation at all. They must be VERY bored. And even then I can't imagine trolling is very exciting!

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 11/01/2016 14:11

Totally with you op. I get why TAATs aren't allowed but it would be great for everyone to be able to do a "what just happened and did you get taken in by the trolling?" for a short time afterwards.

SomedayMyPrinceWillCome · 11/01/2016 14:12

I was reading the "help my wife" when it was deleted, hadn't read far enough to even think it was a troll. Gutted. Could someone PM me a summary too pls?

Notimefortossers · 11/01/2016 14:13

I don't get why TAAT's aren't allowed? But then I don't get why zombie threads are bad either

OP posts:
NameChangeAnon · 11/01/2016 14:18

I'm a creative writer, by hobby. I sometimes wonder if they are the saddo-geeks of the CW world (bearing in mind I am also a geek, but not a saddo-geek).

Hmm, my writing goal for the day will be to create a new character I have filled out my obsessive character sheet and have a character. But is he believable? I know, I will test it out on a well-known parenting forum!

YouBastardSockBalls · 11/01/2016 14:19

Summary -

I cheated on my wife, how do I make her shag me again? Ya know, for her sake.

This has all just hurt me soooo much.

I'm so hurt by what I've done.

It's all about the sex.

No it's not about sex, it's all about my wife bless 'er.

Me me me I I I I etc.

That was about it really!

NameChangeAnon · 11/01/2016 14:19

Oh dear I read that in my head in the voice of Tuffnut from 'How to train your dragon' when he has eel-pox.

PurpleDaisies · 11/01/2016 14:22

I don't get why TAAT's aren't allowed

Bunfights that got squelched start up again and trolls that are feeding off the attention get exactly what they want - more people talking about them.

reni2 · 11/01/2016 14:24

Since this will be deleted as a TAAT, can we all say something we always wanted to say on MN Grin?

BlueSmarties76 · 11/01/2016 14:26

There was a really obvious troll one earlier from a woman claiming to have been a home educated Christian wanting to know how to make a baby with her husband!

Notimefortossers · 11/01/2016 14:26

Well this is more of a thread inspired by a thread. It genuinely does wind me up all the time!

OP posts:
BlueSmarties76 · 11/01/2016 14:26

Go on Reni2, what do you want to say?

reni2 · 11/01/2016 14:28

I have loo brushes and I think Boden skirts look like bedroom curtains.

DrDreReturns · 11/01/2016 14:28

They need to remove deleted threads from the trending list (note to the Mumsnet development team!)
