for putting super glue onto the seat of a DISABLED toilet??!

Read the story earlier, apparently the two teens are aged 16-18, and some poor 4yo girl went in after them and had the skin ripped from the back of her legs!
No doubt these two little twats will get a lecture and a wrist slap.

If the criminal justice system was not so pathetic, soft and weak then people would not take the law into their own hands.

ilovesooty · 07/01/2016 00:18

How much actual experience do you have of criminal justice? Or are your comments based on what you read and see in the media?

Nothing excuses vigilante action and mob rule.

FlatOnTheHill · 07/01/2016 00:19

Judges in this country are a joke. You only have to look at the small sentences they dish out to criminals, murderers and paedos. Its a disgrace and no deterrent. Kids and adults now days get away with murder...literally. There is no fear because they know they will get a slapped wrist and let off. But thats ok...ah? Hmm

My friends DH has a senior position in the Met. He goes mental at what he has to see and deal with every day and the work that goes into catching these criminals to the end result which is a piddly little sentence dished out by a judge that does not live in the real world. It drives the police mad because they see what the victims and their families suffer.

LOL

Flat, you've clearly been making the mistake of believing the bollocks that gets printed in the likes of the Daily Mail. Have a good look at the actual sentences that get imposed on murderers and paedophiles. Ask, for instance, Rose West, whether she thinks her sentence is a small one. Go into a category A prison and see whether you still believe being banged up most of the day with a violent cellmate and an open toilet in the middle of the cell is the equivalent of a slapped wrist.

And do tell us the last time a convicted murder got away with his crime and was let off.

GruntledOne · 07/01/2016 00:50

Sorry, convicted murderer, not murder.

GruntledOne · 07/01/2016 00:51

Flat, have you asked your friend's DH whether he and his colleagues condone vigilante justice?

Jenj1983 · 07/01/2016 00:52

Flat this is what I've been saying all along.

People who moan about prison sentences being lenient don't seem to think it's an adequate punishment.

Who are all these murderers you know of that got "piddly" sentences? Hmm. They spend 23 hours a day locked in a room having to share a toilet. Violence and threats are regular occurrences. No privacy or freedom. This is everyday for decades.

. I live on a council estate and hate the vigilante mentality here. Mainly seems to be about paedophiles. I've met a lot of absolute wasters who imo just just on the bandwagon to make themselves feel like they're a step above someone.

FlatOnTheHill · 07/01/2016 07:34

Look the small sentences the Baby P murderers got. Do you think thats right?

Disagreeing with severity (or not) of sentencing does mean that one automatically condones mob violence or vigilante behaviour.

We live in a democracy, if you believe that sentencing is too lenient then you have the right to protest about that. Start a petition and if enough people agree with you then it must be debated in parliament. Petition your MP to bring it up, start a campaign group...all of these are within the law and are good things to do.

Saying that anyone who receives, in your opinion, too small a sentence should receive physical retribution on behalf of victims who may not actually agree with it, is not within the law or a good thing to do.

You are obviously unaware flat, but sentencing guidelines are set by government, not judges. Judges sentence within the guidelines. as Bogey said, if you're unhappy, talk to your MP.

I daresay the Birmingham six and the Guildford four didn't think their sentences too short. The most obvious retort to those that think vigilante justice the answer. Or should we discuss the paediatrician mistaken for a paedophile because the hard of thinking are unable to differentiateHmm

fidel1ne · 07/01/2016 09:11

The sincerity of your stance wasn't being questioned was it Jen?

Were you the one who was going to bite her throat or was that someone else?

Bogeyface · 07/01/2016 09:12

Dawn I was going to mention the Paediatrician case too, as it perfectly sums up the type of fuck witted arseholes who think that mobs and vigilantes are just fine and dandy.

Jenj And how on earth do you think that praying that someone is beaten and murdered (I am not sure how your God would feel about that by the way), makes you any better than the person you wish dead?

Bogeyface · 07/01/2016 09:13

Fidel no I think that was a different fucking idiot.

Bogeyface · 07/01/2016 09:14

Oh and Jenj it has indeed been reported, by me and I assume others too :)

fidel1ne · 07/01/2016 09:15

Gosh, a thugs' coach trip is in town.

Dawndonnaagain · 07/01/2016 09:29

Reported too, jenj. You're a real delight, aren't you. Angry
Try an education. Look up rehabilitation in Scandinavian countries, or is rehabilitation beyond your comprehension?

Before opening this thread I knew it was about those cunts.
When I read this article first time, I actually felt that I want to glue them to the wall. I never get feelings like that.
I hope they are not underage and everyone will know their names. This will stay with them forever then.

GruntledOne · 07/01/2016 09:31

Point of information: no-one was convicted of the murder of Baby P. Three people were convicted of causing or allowing the death of a child, the sentences for that offence being fixed by Parliament.

TheSecondViola · 07/01/2016 09:44

You do seem to go out of your way to stick up for them and contradict everyone else that's been critical of them.

You might want to actually read the posts before commenting, because I haven't made any comment at all about them or their actions, other than that they should be dealt with by the authorities using the proper procedures.

There are some immense dickheads posting here. Surely nethuns is more their styles? Fluff and bubs mixed with bloodlust and mob mentality. With sparkly bits.
