My resolution every year since I was 10 is to lose weight. Every year I am bigger than I was before. This year I might try reverse psychology and resolve to put ON weight and hope that I really lose it!!

I would also really like to get a handle on my agoraphobia (which has definitely contributed to my weight gain). I don't want to be able to travel miles, just to be able to get my son to school by myself, to the local shops by myself and to take the children to the park every now and again.

Main one is to stop smoking!

Mine are
To spend less but better ie save for what I really want rather than being led astray
Do another road trip alone
Appriciate my family and friends - show it more and do nice things with them
Exercise - gulp ! Don't do !
Look after my home .keep on top of things .
Remember to either meditate or go to church or similar - sets my mind up for the week

Declutter 2016 things
Better housework routine
Lose last stone (lost 4 last year)
Couch to 5k on treadmill then when I'm less wobbly, join in the local park run.
Have another baby ( starting Ttc next month)
Do more craft stuff and use up the 10 years of craft supplies I already have

I haven't made resolutions for years. I find enough shit happens over the course of the year to make me feel badly about myself that I don't need to add to it by setting myself up for resolution failure too.

Already had 2 days of not using my phone at thr table. I feel like a resentful teenager but better for it!

Done no stretches/exercises yet though. That one is going to be hard to fit in.

im going to pick up running again. i started this year after a long break (years ) when dp applied to run the marathon. he didn't get in so slacked off too. i am obese to so hoping it will spur some weight loss. Im aiming to do the local 10k in june. i surprised myself and managed 13k this year but couldn't move for a week Hmm

That is my only resolution per se as i am more in control of that.

i would like to get a new job. i have a v part time job and its rubbish hours and pay is pathetic.

i want to stop having anxiety and taking medication.

i want to finish decorating/maintaining our house but my anxiety prevents this as i worry about losing it.

Mine are:

  • to learn (and perfect) something on the piano, probably Einaudi as I've started learning something already.
  • to be happy.

I have no vices, except crisps and and I'm not giving those up any time soon.

I suppose mine are to stay single and stay happy.

  • pay my credit card off
  • save up for Christmas 2016
  • continue going to the gym 3 x a week
  • continue to lose weight (aiming for 9 stone)
  • play with the DC more - this is the most important one!
  • start having date nights with DH again even if we can't go out, do something at home :)

To lose weight. Thats so blah I know. But I gave up smoking and coffee 4 years ago and it piled on Hmm

PonyoLovesHam · 31/12/2015 20:47

Some of these are good. I could definitely do with less time on my phone.

NotSkinny, 10lbs in 7 weeks is good! I joined SW this year and 'only' lose about a lb a week, sometimes 2. It's really worked for me so could be worth a try again?

Be a more engaged, less shouty and more effective parent

Get the fuck off FB/my phone. Aim to achieve this by keeping a book in my handbag, not taking it into my bedroom and also have a rule that I don't look at it from when I leave work till the kids are in bed.

to keep pressing slowly on with the "how best to leave my abusive husband" project Smile

to drink less alcohol (likely related to above) Sad

to be kinder & more understanding to my elderly mother - not that I'm unkind now, but I do think unkind thoughts when she's driving me nuts Grin
