To worry that MIL will die on Christmas Day.

She is terminally ill and at a guess has 2-3 weeks left at the most. We're trying to carry on as normal for the sake of the DCs but it is beginning to really panic me about what we do if she dies on Christmas Day. I know it sounds ridiculous in the bigger scheme of things but I'm the sort of person who needs to plan ahead and we just can't do that. I'm terrified that their every future Christmas might be scarred by their Grandmother's death.

Sorry for the depressing thread Sad

Thank you everyone. Cosmo I'm glad to hear you got a flight sorted. Hope you are all looking after yourselves.

We are surprisingly ok today, not sure it's properly sunk in yet. DH is having to do lots of phoning and I think that's going to start to get a bit much for him. DC took the news amazingly well. I'm glad we waited until this morning to tell them. We've got my family visiting later, which we decided to go ahead with as planned. It will be nice to have some company and the DC are really excited about seeing their cousins.

Big love to everyone who is finding it a difficult time of year xx
