To think Tess and Claudia need to shoot their stylist

Really?

Claudia looks like she's wearing a sun dress and Tess is giving Simon Cowell a run for his money in the high waisted stakes.

The VTs are really annoying. They don't add anything to the show. Lots of viewers want to see just the dancing and the judges comments and scores.

southeastastra · 20/12/2015 09:45

when i see them i just think of \link{https://i.ytimg.com/vi/hUW9nRp0Cj4/maxresdefault.jpg\keith lemon}

RaspberryOverloadingOnTurkey · 20/12/2015 10:06

I must admit I find Tess boring to watch. Since she took over the main job, it's seemed to me like she's morphed into presenting in a vary similar way to Bruce, but without the cringy jokes.

I think I'd like to watch a Zoe/Claudia combination.

Bearbehind · 20/12/2015 10:13

Well I didn't expect the thread to turn out like that!

A lighthearted thread about 2 women who are very much in the public eye not wearing outfits that suit them and it turns into a one woman crusade against bullying.

IMO, the worst behaviour came from puff as she just wouldn't let it go- weird.

Still didn't like their outfits though Grin

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2015 10:16

Bearbehind I don't think anyone was expecting the thread to turn out like that Grin

Dipankrispaneven · 20/12/2015 10:18

Was anyone else bemused by the fact that PuffPastry thought that giving out her mobile number would prove she was at work?

UnGoogleable · 20/12/2015 10:28

Well that took a turn for the bizarre didn't it!

I'd love to seeZoe present the main show, but I also love her in ITT because she can relate to the contestants having done it herself. Mind you, there are plenty of ex-contestant presenters who could do that I guess.

Merrylegs · 20/12/2015 10:48

Tess does make uncomfortable viewing. I fear if she had to go off piste she would come unstuck. She is pretty wobbly on piste tbh. At least Brucie was such an old pro you knew he wouldn't balls it up completely. But I really like having two women presenting. Claudia has really really poor eyesight but you would think someone might double check her before she goes on. That said I think she is fab. She 'gets it' in a way Tess doesn't.

emotionsecho · 20/12/2015 11:39

Funnily enough the people who design and loan the outfits to SCD for Tess and Claudia to wear want people to comment on them a fact which Puff has spectacularly failed to grasp.

PinkSquash · 20/12/2015 11:54

I think Tess chooses her own dresses, doesn't she?

Behooven · 20/12/2015 12:32

Grin at "pendant bully" yes I'd hang 'em all

Moonriver1 · 20/12/2015 12:36

They choose their own dresses, they aren't 'told' to wear anything. The stylist works with them and calls in loads of possible outfits.

I think Claudia looks fab, unique, quirky, slightly mad but it all works.

Tess, though good looking and well preserved, always looks trussed up and tacky.

She is also...clears voice...THE WORST PRESENTER IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE. SHE IS MORE WOODEN THAN PINNOCHIO. SHE NEEDS TO STOP GRABBING PEOPLE'S HANDS AND SAYING 'LOOK THEY'RE ON THEIR FEET'.

As you were...

Moonriver1 · 20/12/2015 12:37

ps Puff's direct mailing of her phone number was possibly the weirdest thing I've ever seen on MN. And that's saying something.

Imustgodowntotheseaagain · 20/12/2015 13:00

Claudia is great on the Sewing Bee - she's got natural rapport with people. And she smoothed over the fact that Mary Berry struggled a liitle with enormous grace.

emotionsecho · 20/12/2015 13:01

They may choose the outfits but they are from a selection loaned to the show. The people who loan them want them worn on prime time TV and commented on, so doing what the loaners want is not bitching but actually fulfilling their remit.

EmmanuelleMumsnet · 20/12/2015 13:24

Hi there,

We've had lots of reports about this thread and can see it turned into a bit of a bunfight overnight, so we'll be zapping it shortly.

M48294Y · 20/12/2015 13:31

Mumsnet deleting threads like this (where one poster has behaved like a massive unforgivable twat) is just like schools pretending that they don't have a bullying problem. Sweep it all under the carpet and hope it will go away. It doesn't seem to be working!

Bearbehind · 20/12/2015 13:31

Why is it being deleted?

Just because one poster goes more than a little over the top with her responses, doesn't mean entire threads should be deleted.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2015 13:33

I agree Bearbehind. Strange to delete the whole thread. Confused

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 20/12/2015 13:39

Why delete because of one twatty poster?

Arfarfanarf · 20/12/2015 13:41

This reply has been deleted

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Dipankrispaneven · 20/12/2015 13:52

But it stopped being a bunfight hours ago, MN - to be precise, around 4 a.m. Why delete now when it's gone back to the original discussion?

EmmanuelleMumsnet · 20/12/2015 14:00

Thanks for the feedback - we've taken another look and agree there's not really any reason to delete the whole thread now. Our bad.

Thanks again Smile

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2015 15:10

Good call.

MontyYouTerribleCunt · 20/12/2015 15:28

Good call MNHQ. Seems unfair to zap a thread when it is quite clearly a single poster behaving like a giant idiot, derailing the thread and hurling abuse.
