To be fuming over DD missing out attendance prize

DD has had 1.5 hours time off after she was physically sick in school despite telling them do not give her eggs as she has a food tolerance to egg. She is fine with things containing eggs but when having whole egg her stomach can't cope with it making her vomit I. Which the school did for a food tasting lesson.

So because of there mistake DD didn't have 100% attendance, hence missing out the prize.

I hate attendance awards with a passion. They encourage parents to send children in with illnesses that they need to be at home with, not in public.

We don't have them at out school, however, we do have attendance recorded on the half yearly reports, so we do get competitive parents who need to get 100%. Much like the mum who has, on occasion, sent her children in ill...not with a cold, but on one occasion whopping cough. I kid you not.

I was pretty pissed when I discovered, as my child was paired with one of hers for classes. (yr 1) so I had to get both my kids tested.
