to think the name of Prince George's nursery shouldn't have been disclosed?

An article in the news today says that Prince George will be starting nursery in January and gives the name and location of the nursery.

Now I know everybody knew where Prince William and Harry went to school/uni but we are living in different times. This is a massive security risk isn't it? Surely the security at the nursery won't be as high as at their home on a private estate?

I'm really quite surprised that this information has been published.

I'm glad it's been released. The best generations of middletons can send their daughters there!

I think Diana won the race fair and square. She was very athletic. I really miss her although that will be a very unfashionable view on here.

scarlets · 19/12/2015 12:47

Yep, Diana was superfit. Good swimmer too.

Imustgodowntotheseaagain · 19/12/2015 12:48

I miss her too, derxa. I'm sad that it's become fashionable to mock people for taking flowers to London when she died.

Cerseirys · 19/12/2015 13:02

It's also become fashionable to dismiss her as some sort of promiscuous airhead but I think she genuinely did care for the causes she championed. I know someone who used to work at one of the charities she patronised, and apparently used to often visit AIDS patients without alerting the media.

derxa · 19/12/2015 13:13

I honestly think William is trying his best to give his family the most normal life he can in the circumstances. He and his brother must have gone through hell when their mother died. I applaud him for turning out so boringly normal.

MrsJayy · 19/12/2015 13:16

Yea they are a bit boring but thats ok he is trying to maintain some sort of ordinaryness(not a word) for his family because once he is king its all going to change .

BoboChic · 20/12/2015 08:04

I don't think William and Kate are remotely boring. Taking a stand against the celebrity circus and deciding to do something different with their family demonstrates a lot of determination.

Dipankrispaneven · 20/12/2015 08:16

It hasn't "become fashionable" either to express concerns at the mound of flowers for Diana or to say she was a promiscuous airhead. There were plenty of people describing her that way when she was alive, and there were also plenty of people at the time expressing the view that leaving flowers to rot in cellophane outside Kensington Palace was over the top and a waste of money.

BoboChic · 20/12/2015 08:20

Diana cultivated celebrity status because she was young and insecure and because neither her own parents nor her husband filled her soul with the love and support she needed.

She and the British masses were a match made in heaven.

derxa · 20/12/2015 09:19

No one told the British masses to lay flowers.

BoboChic · 20/12/2015 09:51

No, of course no one told the British masses to lay flowers. It was a perfect example of fawning to a celebrity.

A lot of people knew not to lay flowers, however.

derxa · 20/12/2015 10:00

A lot of people knew not to lay flowers, however. How perfectly correct of them. Of course it was a type of mass hysteria but I can only think of a few people whose deaths caused such a reaction around the world. JFK Elvis Presley John Lennon Martin Luther King.

i imagine that the heir to the throne probably has access to better security advisors than a bunch of randoms on mumsnet.

Siwi · 20/12/2015 10:17

She did a lot for land mines. Not fluffy.
