To ask for a middle name for Arabella at the eleventh hour?

Bad form I know, to post this on AIBU. However our baby is almost at the age limit for having her name registered and we've not given any thought to a middle name. My brain isn't working and she will want milk shortly so if any of you can suggest a name so we can get this form filled out I will be grateful Smile

Rockerfella? Grin

Jane is good.

Raahh · 08/12/2015 21:55

I used to read Enid Blyton's Amelia Jane books when I was little. Arabella Jane has a similar feel. Jane one of the default middle names in the 60's/70's- very underused now. Louise is another- Arabella Louise has a nice flow to it.

Definitely Arabella May. I know one - she's lovely. Not mine, but she's so lovely I wish she was!!!

teatowel · 08/12/2015 21:55

Your DH doesn't like the name Arabella?

I think you need to look for more than a middle name in that case!!

LadySilvia · 08/12/2015 21:58

Arabella Iris
Arabella Mina
Arabella Lorelai not really but I love a tongue twister 😄

Dixiechickonhols · 08/12/2015 21:59

Mine has Joy middle name and an A first name.

AJ are good initials

Sunnymeg · 08/12/2015 21:59

Arabella Dawn

Mmmmcake123 · 08/12/2015 22:01

spritefairy · 08/12/2015 22:02

If you have to have Jane you gotta spell it Jayne Grin

My and my daughters middle name is Jayne

Twistedheartache · 08/12/2015 22:03

Kate - depends on your surname though for the flow

BlackeyedSusan · 08/12/2015 22:03

not jane,
try grace, joy, rose,
or arabella louise.

ArabellaWhat · 08/12/2015 22:03

This has been fascinating because DH asked a couple of times over the last couple of weeks "what are we going to call her?". Neither of us had the mental energy to actually consider it and I suggested "what about Jane?" as it was the first thing that popped into my head. He said he liked Jane but I thought well lets at least give it some effort and think about a couple of options. He had vetoed using any of my alternate First Name suggestions (things like Beatrix or Eleanor or Evelyn or Elizabeth). Hence my posting on here, and I see that Jane is popular even before I mentioned it Smile

Arabella Charlotte
Arabella Kate
Arabella Lois

BlackeyedSusan · 08/12/2015 22:04

ffs not AI... artificial insemination as initials.

SelfLoathing · 08/12/2015 22:05

Alice

Also (depending on available names) it's quite a nice tradition to name as a middle name, the maiden surname of a female in the direct line (ie. mother's maiden name, grandmother on either side's surname) and so on. In some cases, it can stop a name dying out. But this very much depends on the available names - Smith may not cut it whereas Delauney may do.

ArabellaWhat · 08/12/2015 22:05

Uh- oh, took ages to type that with the baby and now the thread has moved on!

Another whose first thought was Arabella Jane.

serin · 08/12/2015 22:06

Elizabeth

Needafiltercoffee · 08/12/2015 22:07

My immediate thought was Jane. I think Arabella Jane goes very well. Jane with no y in (sorry spritefairy!!)

NorksAreMessy · 08/12/2015 22:07

Arabella Blue was the first thing I thought.

Give her head a sniff for me (ancient and broody)

Eva50 · 08/12/2015 22:07

I like Joy. It goes well with Arabella.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 08/12/2015 22:08

One syllable would sound best. Jane was the first one I thought of :)
Grace?
Prhapy Mary - two syllables, but works
Clare (somehow works better than Claire in this case)

HeteronormativeHaybales · 08/12/2015 22:08

Perhaps, thar's supposed to say Hmm
