Oh how I miss it when we all had fun, no one was serious, no one was stupid, no one ever did anything I didn't want them to do!! Oh wasn't it wonderful!

My first go round with MN occurred at the time of MouldieGate, ain't nothing light hearted 'bout that fiasco.

EddieStobbart · 05/12/2015 17:40

I've been here since 2006. I think some of the posters in AIBU are a bit more twattish than in days of yore but in the main, same old, same old. Wait long enough and there'll be a P&C parking thread along in a minute...

Samcro · 05/12/2015 17:42

sorry op but when was mn like that? I have been here since 2006 and even back there it could be very nasty.
now its just bigger

BadlyBehavedShoppingTrolley · 05/12/2015 17:43

It's changed an awful lot round here in the past two years. Not for the better neither.

CuttedUpPear · 05/12/2015 17:47

I remember my first ever foray onto MN. Last CENTURY it was.

There was a thread entitled 'Please can I have your PIN number?' which confused me somewhat.
On further investigation it appeared that it was a sarcastic TAAT referencing a supposedly begging poster. Sparks were flying I tells ya.

There do seem to be an alarming volume of over sensitive numpties missing their glittery tickers no doubt these days.

CuttedUpPear · 05/12/2015 17:48

Ok it wasn't last century but it was in the previous decade.

Potatoface2 · 05/12/2015 17:49

bit like FB then all nice and chummy.....now its a blood bath!

timelytess · 05/12/2015 17:49

Think I might have been here about three years. Either I'm more aware of trolls/made up threads or there really are more of them about. Partly, I think, when I started reading, everything was new but now I'm jaded and have heard every problem/issue before. I don't watch the news or read a paper so if something big happens, I like that I can hear about it on MN then go to news sites for more information.

PacificDogwod · 05/12/2015 17:50

I remember when it was all fields round here…..

Grin

I have not laughed tear about a thread recently, that much is true.

reni2 · 05/12/2015 17:55

Extra points for whoever links the oldest thread about how lovely mn was in the olden days Grin.

Grin You can't joke about it OP. The posters fond of throwing accusations of 'humourlessness' around will never get it. Ironically enough Smile

PuppyMonkey · 05/12/2015 18:01

Nah , maybe it's your own fault for picking the wrong threads to read. Also, it's sometimes just more fun on FB and twitter than it used to be back when this was all fields.

Lightupthefire · 05/12/2015 18:03

I really want to bump them but will be trounced for ZOMBIE

They waited till Day 7 ? Nah, Carrie was at it on Day 2. Whinge, whinge, whinge. Justine had to get her drunk on gin just to shut her up.

Lightupthefire · 05/12/2015 18:13

Then Becca parted the Red Sea and made the Ten Commandments.
