AIBU to think my DD 2.5 painting looks like a murder scene?

It's supposed to be a lovely handmade gift for a beloved relative. Unfortunately it looks to me like a body lying in a pool of blood with a cat lapping at it. The body has clawed at the wall on the way down, and the murderer's footprints in red are leading away from the body. All lovingly depicted in fabric paint on a canvas tote bag. Cos nothing is more Christmassy than a gruesome murder. I'm going to have to get her to do another one, aren't I? Unless no-one else can see it and I just need some sort of therapy? I think the picture will come out sideways, with the top on the left IYSWIM...

I don't dare ask DD what it is. I know the bit that looks like a cat is supposed to be a cat. She made me do its eyes.

Epilepsyhelp - the cat is the black bits above the large red sploge. Maybe I only see this whole dark scene because I know that bit is meant to be a cat?

Okay now I'm staring at it I can see one of the queen's guards marching across a red carpet while the queen (the blue line ofc) is arriving?

Looks to me like the person is either giving the cat medicine with a syringe, or possibly killing it. Either way, the blood has come out of the cat.

I think it looks like a dog, Snoopyesque. With random small child blotches for, well, reasons only knowable to the small child. Definitely wouldn't class it as a veiled threat.

If that's a cat then it's head is entirely detached from it's body!! Mary will love it. If she's a serial killer..

KanyesVest - oh yes! Can see snoopyesque dog now. Epilepsyhelp, she's not averse to using slug pellets in her veg patch but I think that's as murderous as she gets (AFAIK).

LOL. Just do another one with nice safe handprints.

If DD's inherited your imagination, she has a great future as an artist

I also immediately saw the race car getting its tire changed. Is that transmission fluid leaking out from under the car or it is a pool of blood? Is the little guy who helped change the tire slipping in the transmission fluid or is he actually lying in a pool of his own blood? Are the red sunglasses that appear to have flown off someone's head red in hue or covered in blood? Are they the driver's? Is he (or she, of course) okay? Is the pool of blood the driver's? Could the driver be unconscious or deceased in a run-away race car? Did the little guy do it or did the driver kill the little guy and in so doing lost his blood-spattered glasses? So many unanswered questions.

It's abstract. Definitely abstract. Don't mention the dismembered cat.
