To find the Daily Mail free calendar of photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte a bit weird?

Not sure why anybody would want a 2016 calendar of photos of someone else's children, who they don't know?

Also, some of the photos advertised as being in the calendar look slightly intrusive.

Oh don't be such an old fuddy duddy - loads of people get pleasure from the Royal Family.

wasonthelist · 27/11/2015 17:17

Same reason anyone would by DM I expect.

SiegeofEnnis · 27/11/2015 17:18

Because that's the kind of thing that witless, reactionary xenophobes love to hang on their kitchen wall, obviously.

JeanSeberg · 27/11/2015 17:20

When is it on sale?

Ladywithababy1 · 27/11/2015 17:21

I definitely think I can be fuddy duddy sometimes! And there's absolutely nothing wrong with taking pleasure from the royal family but these photos (admittedly only seen a few on the TV advert) aren't even official ones, some of them seem to be papped ones?

It's free with the DM tomorrow

Oh what a very silly thread.

I mean given who the 'someone else's children are'.

Just daft.

wasonthelist · 27/11/2015 17:25

Not sure what your point is op? The idea that DM participates in and encourages stuff any normal person would find reprehensible isn't a surprise really is it? Don't buy the calendar or the paper and it'll go out of business, and we'll all be better off.

Ladywithababy1 · 27/11/2015 17:26

Yes of course those children are the most famous ones in the world, but you wouldn't expect a paper to publish a calendar of photos of, say, the Beckham children, who are almost as recognisable in lots of ways, would you?

I know it's a bit silly, I'm not really worked up about it - I just personally think it's a bit odd.

I couldn't give a flying fig about it, but it's the sort of thing my grandparents would have loved. Cringed at the calendar's name tho, "Kate's Cuties".

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 27/11/2015 17:28

Its for the sycophants who like that kind of crap. A bit like the photoshopped image of 'Lady Di' at Charlotte's christening that many of them cooed over. Urghh.

Ladywithababy1 · 27/11/2015 17:29

Yes, "Kate's Cuties" is unforgivable even for the DM

Nothing the DM does would surprise me. The thing that surprises me is that so many people buy it.

Ladywithababy1 · 27/11/2015 17:33

So glad I don't read it - the wall to wall blanket coverage of when Kim Kardashian has her baby will be intolerable

OP posts:
howtorebuild · 27/11/2015 17:37

I could do with a calendar, does it have space to write events in?

Ladywithababy1 · 27/11/2015 17:39

You'll find out tomorrow when you buy your copy!

Piratespoo · 27/11/2015 17:39

My dd8 will love it! She is planning on marrying prince Georgie though!

00100001 · 27/11/2015 17:40

I'm amazed that this is being "allowed" bit then, they did one last year

TheCarpenter · 27/11/2015 17:40

My MIL will prob buy two.

She's all about the Queen and Britain First, this will be like a porn mag for the Orange Order

TheCarpenter · 27/11/2015 17:41

Fuck just realised how that read. Not as though MIL would look at children in a sick way, just the level of excitement this will induce.

SiegeofEnnis · 27/11/2015 17:58

Carpenter, thanks. The Orange Order porn mag is an image that will remain with me forever. Grin

howtorebuild · 27/11/2015 18:03

Orange order as in Orange Men?

SparklyLeprechaun · 27/11/2015 18:37

Considering that people buy calendars of other people's cats, why not other people's children?

tootsietoo · 27/11/2015 18:42

Oh, my MIL will love it! She has a tendency to refer to "Harry" and "Kate" in conversation. I like to be extra obtuse (once I've realised what she's going on about) and have no clue who Harry and Kate are.
