Shall we have a little vote, here and now?

It's a big "no" from me.

No.

Tactical strikes on Isis - yes.

jamtartandcustard · 26/11/2015 16:34

No.
Obviously something needs to be done about Isis but I don't think this is it. It's what they want, it's why they are provoking the west. The UN needs a decisive plan but I don't think the UK bombing Syria is the best way forward at the moment

I dont think what they want or dont want should come into it.They want an apocalyptic show down against all infidels.
so what.

AllMyBestFriendsAreMetalheads · 26/11/2015 16:40

Are we officially at war? We're already using air strikes in Iraq.

DrasticAction · 26/11/2015 16:40

However my opinion is that if we strike ( I mean the UK here, I think belgium is already part of the coalition), we become a legitimate target for the terrorists

But UK is already bombing in Iraq and most importantly already this year - alone 7 plots to kill us - have been stopped.

7, so we are already a target.

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 26/11/2015 16:40

Yes.

BeeMyBaby · 26/11/2015 16:41

No, I really don't want a Paris style attack in the uk, which would be the most likely result.

No, but only because airstrikes alone are ineffective. We should NOT be paralysed by fear of reprisal, as that's literally what defeat is.

Absolutely No No No
Innocent people will be killed.

People tend to forget that, though.

We are already a huge target for terrorist attacks by ISIS. I don't disagree with tactical airstrikes against them.

No.

I've just listened to Cameron speaking in the House of Commons and Philip Hammond speaking in support on PM. Much of what they were saying sounded like an advert for BAE.

Listening to Cameron I was struck by memories of Blair. That unsettled me.

You honestly really believe that what WE do will make any difference to what THEY do. We are ALREADY a huge target for ISIS - it's just a matter of time!

LineyReborn · 26/11/2015 17:45

No.

spondulix · 26/11/2015 17:47

Yes. Because it worked SO well in Iraq. Hmm
