Shall we have a little vote, here and now?

It's a big "no" from me.

no

Silvertap · 26/11/2015 14:31

yes

hellsbellsmelons · 26/11/2015 14:32

What Patapouf said!

Absolutely.

hellsbellsmelons · 26/11/2015 14:34

'Absolutely' does NOT mean yes - it means I agree 100% with Patapouf that we should definitely NOT go in.

AnotherEffingOrangeRevel · 26/11/2015 14:35

Interestingly, the current comment section of the BBC report of Cameron's argument also indicates very low support for bombing. And that's on the highly government-regulated BBC!
But they'll find a way to do their bombing one way or another, whatever the members of our supposed democracy actually think.

No.

Continue with keeping the UK as safe as possible (several IS attacks already foiled - someone's doing a pretty good job there) but no bombing of innocent civilians and no ground troops in Syria.

Let us not poke the hornets nest with a big stick & expect not to get stung. Again.

dogwalker75 · 26/11/2015 14:35

Absolutely not.

Where is the sense in bombing innocent people to prove to ISIS that shooting innocent people is wrong?

The Syrian civilians have played no part in the terrorist attacks so why on earth would anyone think it's acceptable to bomb them and their children? It'll just lead to more and more refugees attempting to get to Europe, which will result in even more deaths.

Potentially, it could lead to more people joining ISIS if they view the west as evil.

SevenOfNineTrue · 26/11/2015 14:36

No.

Bomb then what?

What we should do is cut off the money supply. To all terrorist organisations like ISIS.

bubbles12 · 26/11/2015 14:39

No

Potentially, it could lead to more people joining ISIS if they view the west as evil.

Which, of course, is practically achieving IS' goals for them.

Moreshabbythanchic · 26/11/2015 14:43

On the fence here too. IS must be stopped and no amount of talks is going to stop them BUT I don't like the thought of civilians being killed or forced into boats or that we will end up with a scenario such as Paris if we bomb. I'm glad the choice is not mine to make.

shebird · 26/11/2015 14:43

Yes to targeted air strikes. The stand back and do nothing plan hasn't been very successful so far and something has to change. These guys don't want to talk or negotiate - theres nothing the want from us in the west except to wipe us off the face of the earth. How do you reason or negotiate with that?

IAmNoAngel · 26/11/2015 14:44

Yes

BalthazarImpresario · 26/11/2015 14:44

No

BollocksToThat1 · 26/11/2015 14:45

No and I do wonder if air strikes are really all about getting rid of the refugee problem by killing them before they can flee.

The allies need to work alongside the Arab world to cut off ISIS funding, strong measures to tackle extremism on the internet and sort out the Palestinian problem.

I strongly suspect Isis fighters are here anyway and a Paris style attack in London/brum/Manchester imminent. It's too late.

aquashiv · 26/11/2015 14:45

No. The UK government can not take their of course understandable anger out on the innocent people of Syria.

SilentlyScreamingAgain · 26/11/2015 14:48

Probably not.
