Shall we have a little vote, here and now?

It's a big "no" from me.

OP posts:

Majestic really? Are the bombs going to interview people before they kill them to see what their religious beliefs are? Or do you think Syria is all neatly divided up with civilians in one place, moderate opposition groups in another and ISIS in third (hint: it isn't).

MajesticWhine · 27/11/2015 13:30

No of course not. Unfortunately innocent civilians will be caught up in it. But to imply that the aim of bombing would be revenge against civilians is disingenuous at best.

AliceScarlett · 27/11/2015 13:46

No

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 27/11/2015 15:06

Sadly, yes. But in conjunction with other approaches such as attacking funding etc.

DrasticAction · 27/11/2015 15:13

But graphically violent and personal phraseology somewhat undermine any sensible point you wish to make

i disagree, whats going on is violent and graphic.

There's a petition against the proposed bombing, on the government website. Please feel free to sign & share it. Even if for no other reason than that it will surely increase the number of refugees leaving Syria.

There's also a (very quick & easy) link to enable you to email your MP. Customisable email template included.

CuddlesAndShit · 27/11/2015 17:49

Absolutely no. I feel sick at the thought of another government dragging us all into another war.

No.
Signed the petition I don't want the next generation growing up in a mess we created.

LittleLionMansMummy · 27/11/2015 18:38

Drastic of course what's going on is violent and graphic. I objected to Rooster's phraseology as a personal attack against Corbyn. It's pretty vile wishing death by decapitation against another human, after all.

bertsdinner · 27/11/2015 18:42

No. Im not against bombing Syria/IS as such, but Im not convinced it will really achieve anything and I think it's possibly for the wrong reasons.
Maybe more to do with the UK govt political posturing rather than a real solution.
I don't know what the answers are, and I don't think IS can be just ignored, I feel very unsure about all this.

AllTheToastIsGone · 27/11/2015 18:44

No

Everyone who is against it should contact their MP this weekend to make their views known. Quite a few may be undecided.
