When she said she found Rees-Mogg attractive? And embarassingly, I can see her pov. I could listen to him talk for a very long time, even though I don't agree with him

I think Paul looks ill - very gray in face and hair. Wondered if he was ill for quite some time. Not keen on JRM.

JRM is delish and flirty IRL. A slip of a thing, too, elegantly skinny. Acts up to the ultra-toff thing (they so aren't grand), but his redemption is that he's very bright. Good manners.

Apparently he's married to the daughter of the last Earl Fitzwilliam. I've just read Black Diamonds, which is their story(and about to be televised). Now that is an intriguing tale

I cannot see her POV at all. His views are awful and his appearance the absolute polar opposite of attractive, to me.

DM makes me laugh though... I wouldn't fight VC for him.

I know quite a few couples, all academics, who've both double-barrelled after they married, each keeping their original name as the first bit of their new name. So Mark Smith and Caroline Winters become Mark Smith-Winters and Caroline Winters-Smith.

JRM is horrifying. And frankly, even if he were an Adonis, his position on same sex marriage and his support for zero-hours contracts, quite apart from all that reactionary Tridentine Catholicism, would make my vagina shrivel up.

PrussianPrue The unhyphenated surname thing is Scottish too. VCM's Wikipedia entry does say the 'family surname' is Mitchell, not Coren Mitchell - I hope their daughter has Coren; I did the same surname thing but didn't give DD my surname, regret it a bit.

He was in my year at university (we moved in very different circles) and he's remained utterly unchanged for nearly 30 years which is an achieved of a sort I guess.

I bet VCM and DM are the perfect couple - no pun intended. Both make me laugh - you should watch the latest and last Peep Show. And there's nowt wrong in saying you think someone is attractive.

Amazed at the JRM live, did none of you watch that programme about the House of Commons recently? His behaviour on that was appalling, particularly his filibustering habit.

Oh sorry *SoupDragon" I'll rephrase it. Why did Victoria choose to take on her husband's name as well as her birth name, while her husband chose not to make a similar adjustment? I get that is what she chose to do, my question is why?

Again, because that's what she, and he, wanted to do. Confused

People do several different things with surnames upon marriage. this is just one of them.

I had to look up who he is. I am shocked and disappointed in some of you. Tut tut. He is yucky not attractive. Although he does remind me of the man that plays Professor Stephen Hawking in that film.

I sometimes thin VCM and DM are a little too alike. They are essentially the same person and have all the same mannerisms, intonations and turns of phrase.

I like Victoria Coren a little bit less every time she opens her mouth. Jacob Rees Mogg is an abhorrent, narrow-minded, intolerant and dishonest individual - anti-gay marriage, guilty of plagiarism and pretending to interview a constituent who was actually an employee of his company, which has millions of pounds invested in the tobacco industry, according to Wikipedia. Amazing what some people find attractive Confused

Good grief. Some of you are insane.

I saw him last night too. I'd never seen him before. While I thought the ONE thing he said about Corbyn was nice, the rest was awful. And he sat po faced in his chair as though he thought women shouldn't swear every time VCM did so.

Did make me chuckle when the other guy said to him "Isn't it really embarrassing being right wing sometimes?" (Yes and there was the predictable Jeremy Corbyn response.)

He gave the impression that his hobby is shooting Somerset peasants before breakfast.
