So the French government wants to suspend civil liberties for three months, effectively turning the country into a police state?

And if Francois "this is war" Hollande invokes article 5 of the Nato treaty, the UK could be forced to join in military action in Syria?!

AIBU to think that while I have the greatest possible sympathy with the French people, the French government can go fuck themselves...?

Air strikes without troops on the ground is futile

They're already being bombed by how many countries?

LimboNo Good points about Cameron. He, along with all politicians are desperately keen not to mention the Saudi's - the most corrupt, violent, misogynist, human-rights- abusing, monstrous, medieval theocracy imaginable? They support ISIS and are intent on exporting extreme Wahhabism and attack on Western and Middle Eastern cities. They're also currently bombing Yemen with our weapons.

Our supposed moral outrage over what Assad (the brutal dictator) is meant to have done to his people seems a tad of a contradiction when you consider how we kiss the Saudi's arses on a regular basis. Arms contracts, oil perhaps?
