If Trump wins, I mean.

Please?

I'll just sit in a little stair cupboard ala Harry Potter and not make much noise or bother.

Who'd have me?

:o

I'm 5'7" but willing to stoop!

I don't think any of the Republican candidates is electable, they all appear as thick as mince. I'd love to see Bernie win, but it looks like the Democrats will swing behind Hillary, which means more of the same.

But if that idiot does get in then yes, of course. Bring the husband, kids and mad dog. But not the husbands guns. They're frowned upon here...

CheerfulYank · 14/11/2015 15:38

No guns.

I will bring a chubby smiley baby who is content as long as he is cuddled and squidged all day.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 14/11/2015 15:42

If you bring the squidgey baby and some sunshine, I'll turn my dressing room back into a bedroom for you. Deal?

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/georgeosborne/11904363/Boris-Johnson-favourite-for-next-Tory-leader-but-party-faithful-back-George-Osborne.html Escaping Donald Trump to one of these two... Anyone found a nice deserted island recently?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/11/2015 15:50

You can come to mine, your wolverine can join in the wolf pack of insane Mexicans chihuahuas and they can prowl the back garden perimeter together hunting for hedgehogs!

BigChocFrenzy · 14/11/2015 15:50

Cripes, Yank Surely your fellow citizens won't elect an extreme racist misogynist joke like Trump ?
There won't be a hole deep enough anywhere on the planet for prepping to do much good

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 14/11/2015 15:53

You can bring the guns if you come here! There's a very good shop 5 mins away that sells ammo etc. It's a rural small town so a bit of killing is considered normal.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 14/11/2015 15:56

Acrossthepond - you can come and live with us if you promise ds2 can be favourite grandchild? All the others are somebody's but we had run out of spare grandparents by the time he was born so we do need another.

Motherinlawsdung · 14/11/2015 15:58

Yes come to live with me and bring the chubby smiley squidgey baby. But I live in Scotland and unfortunately the fucker Trump comes here to visit the golf courses he has built over wildlife land.

CheerfulYank · 14/11/2015 15:59

We don't keep the guns in the house anymore, with the small children and all. They are under lock and key in mad BIL's gun room. He has older DC, who are better with guns than your average Mossad member anyway.

I don't know, Choc. I've lost faith in us. :(

Bring me a case of Ro-tel with green chilies and you're on...

Seriously though, why does everyone think that the worst thing about Trump is his hair? I'm much more worried about what's underneath the hair...

Potatoface2 · 14/11/2015 16:02

i think it all went a bit downhill when ronald reagan was voted in.....that seemed odd to me......maybe he thought it was a new movie he was making.....to be honest though even true politicians are clueless.....rather worrying isnt it when you see the state of the world at the moment.....i dont think anywheres gonna be safe to escape to.....i think Trump will just pay someone else to do it if he wins anyway....will be to busy doing his hair!

Ineedtimeoff · 14/11/2015 16:07

I don't think you would need to come over here if Trump gets in. He'll happily stoke the fire and really will make sure that WWIII destroys us all.

and his name means fart

hateful man

MadeMan · 14/11/2015 16:11

"Boris is enormously popular with non-Tory voters: it could happen..."

Particularly in London; Ken Livingstone stuck on a zipline just wouldn't be the same.

AcrossthePond55 · 14/11/2015 16:17

Countess DS2? Don't you mean NanaAcross and BigPapaAcross's special little darling? Of course he's our favourite! After all, isn't he the best little angel in the whole world?

We're on the next flight, what's your address again?! Grin

LeaLeander · 14/11/2015 16:22

I'll be looking into emigration if ANY republican is elected. Been learning the lyrics to O Canada... It's embarrassing to be an American these last 15 years since the Bush debacles.

LaurieMarlow · 14/11/2015 16:28

YY to the cheap Levi's but no no to the Hershey's. It's muck.

More pertinently, you are not BU at all and are more than welcome to live with me. I do great breakfasts.

Want2bSupermum · 14/11/2015 16:34

As bad as trump is I think there are worse candidates. So far the one positive of Trump is that he took Jeb Bush out!

I'm actually more scared of someone like Ted Cruz getting traction than Trump. I've seen the other side of trump and it's very different to the front he puts out to the public. Trump is more aligned politically with Andrew Cuomo/ Hillary Clinton than your traditional Republican. I also think the only reason he is standing as a republican candidate is because he knew he didn't stand a chance against Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in the primaries.

originalmavis · 14/11/2015 16:37

Just realised - trump as in fart? Heeheehee.

CheerfulYank · 14/11/2015 16:43

"Ted" Cruz. Hmmmph. Where are the birthers now?

Ha! Cheerful, c'mon Cruz was born in Canada! That's OK, you know, because Canada is our neighbour. And he's 'white'. Not like someone actually BORN in the US who happens to be half-black but yet is not a US citizen. That's not ok, you know.

The Cruz is white and of Canadian birth so he's OK was actually pointed out to to me by a 'Birther' who was himself born in Cuba to American parents (They were there on business and baby came early in Havana). He seriously thinks Obama's presidency was a 55+ year old 'conspiracy' a la The Manchurian Candidate. And he is not alone. These are the people who will be backing the Republican candidate.

I think a lot of people don't realize how close to the edge of radical conservatism the GOP is dancing.

kippersmum · 14/11/2015 17:31

Anyone who brings Clamato with them can stay with me :)
