to think that this 'transsexual' Jesus play should not get public funding?

I would say 'no words' but how about "disgusting, insulting, disrespectful, immoral..." need I go on? How does this awful thing get 'public funding' - I'd be demanding a refund of my council tax. Enough already!

I would say that with libraries, care home services, bus services etc being cut, we should think twice about funding any arty farty plays about any religion or none.

Thank goodness Kate, page 20 and someone who has actually seen the play!

And as for the point upthread about the Bishop of Chester, I would sooner pay £2,400 for Jesus to be portrayed in a play as a narcotic-induced hamster than see the B of C anywhere. I speak with personal knowledge of the man and extreme disappointment at his desire to protect 'the church' at all costs.

Well spotted, celtictoast. I am reminded of the query "WWJP?" What would Jesus plagiarise? Grin

Her response to me when asked about Lazarus was a cut and paste from Yahoo Answers.

I was going to ask some questions about the fulfilment of the prophesies in Isaiah, but these people have crib sheets so there was no point.

How interesting that she wants us to think she has all this in-depth Bible knowledge at her fingertips: maybe she's not as secure in her knowledge and belief as she suggests. Surely lying by implication isn't terribly Christian?

BertrandRussell · 18/11/2015 10:54

If anyone has a couple of hours they don't know what to do with, google something like "debating with atheists". It's fascinating.

KateMcLaren · 22/11/2015 17:52

If you want someone who genuinely does know her Bible and Christian teaching (though I freely admit I am not remotely conservative) and loves this play, then here I am. Ask away.
