Boring but necessary thread! I just want to find a reliable, non clumpy, mid price range mascara for every day use. It's become a mission, can anyone help me please?!

OP posts:

I use the ActiDerm skyscraper mascara. £13 so v reasonable. And makes my lashes super long

Walkingonsunshine00 · 11/11/2015 17:32

Rimmel extreme lash ( the one with yellow and black packaging)

Maybelline colossal

NuggetofPurestGreen · 11/11/2015 17:52

I love mascara it's my favourite product. I want all of these now!

AnthonyBlanche · 11/11/2015 19:52

Chantecaille. Best mascara ever. though admittedly not all that cheap.

LabradorMama · 11/11/2015 19:55

Lancome Hypnose or Definicils. Lancome do the best mascaras by a country mile

PolaDeVeboise · 11/11/2015 21:29

Another vote for Max Factor Masterpiece Max - been all round the mascara houses and always come back to Max. As well as that (slight derail), I use his foundation (face finity) and lipstick (lip finity). No, I don't work for them!

Lollipopgirl8 · 11/11/2015 21:34

Second YSL shocking and baby doll

'nother nestle company. Sad

bertsdinner · 11/11/2015 22:21

I like the Clinique one, I got a free sample and it was pretty good.
My favourite at the moment is the Boots no 7 in sparkly red case ( mentioned upthread). I got a free sample if that and liked it so much I bought a full sized one, its not overly expensive either.

Sounds a bit weird but I like that both of these are easy to take off, no eye rubbing.

Hi5Hello · 11/11/2015 22:46

BareMinerals Lash Domination.... ensure you have a good eye make up remover to hand because that does not go anywhere

FireCrotch · 11/11/2015 22:54

BadGal is my daytime mascara. It doesn't create long sweeping lashes but it does thick jet black lashes which is ok for during the day. :o

hollieberrie · 11/11/2015 23:01

Cant remember if ive already commented but seconding L'Oreal Telescopic in the gold tube. Amazing. And i have really crap natural lashes - thin, short, straight and blonde.

Ham69 · 11/11/2015 23:06

No amount of mascara seemed to help my pathetic eyelashes. I tried eyelash extensions and haven't looked back!

SparklyPenguin · 11/11/2015 23:09

Maybelline Great Lash. Fab quality and brush shape, not pricey.

TheImminentGin · 11/11/2015 23:14

YABU
Mascara is terrible just look at all the problems posters have had with it- flaking, clumping, smearing, and hell to get off.
Do without, I bet your eyelashes are lovely.

Brummiegirl15 · 11/11/2015 23:17

Third vote for YSL!

Bloody love it

Weathergames · 11/11/2015 23:21

L'oreal Volume Million Lashes

Moopsboopsmum · 12/11/2015 03:47

Have tried all Chanel, YSL and Dior. Givenchy Noir Couture Waterproof is the best IMHO! For contact lense wearers. Stays put like no others!

Cerseirys · 12/11/2015 04:21

OP have you considered dying your eyelashes or eyelash extensions? You may find that that looks more natural. As long as you don't go overboard with the extensions!

MonkeyPJs · 12/11/2015 08:57

Clinique!!

Vinorosso74 · 12/11/2015 16:51

I like Boots No 7. They do loads of different ones. I think the display thingy in the shop usually has a description and you can see the brush.
I had Estee Lauder ones which were awful, blobby and flaked off.

SuperFlyHigh · 12/11/2015 16:54

YSL Faux Cils is very good, NARS mascara from Space NK (red and black tube) also great, maybelline colussal volume good for every day.

SuperFlyHigh · 12/11/2015 16:56

I used to like Lancôme Mascara (definicls, magnificil etc) from about 10 years ago, then they changed them and I'm not keen on Hypnose etc.

PurpleThermalsNowItsWinter · 12/11/2015 17:00

I keep going back to max factor 2000 calorie. I've had most of the ones listed here. I've just used up a black and yellow one packaged one (poss maybelline). No issues but I've bought another max factor until I find 'the one' mascara that I've been waiting for...

Have repurchased 3 times and I'm a makeup junkie so that says it's good!
