So good people of MN, tell me in one simple title ... What AIBUs have you wanted to post but, for whatever reason, you chose not to?

OP posts:
welliesandleaves · 29/10/2015 16:55

Oh, started loads and then thought 'no, some twat will deliberately misinterpret that sentence so I'd better change it' 'Ooh, I'd better not use that word because some arse in a bad mood will use it to completely twist my post' 'Oh I'd better clarify that and qualify that make sure everyone knows the person doesn't have money problems or special needs or....' and have eventually decided life's too short I'll just decide for myself whether I'm being U or NU.

YouTheCat · 29/10/2015 16:57

I also hate 'sanpro'.

Supermanspants · 29/10/2015 16:57

Sanpro
YANBU
Angry

yoshipoppet · 29/10/2015 17:00

I think sanpro sounds as if it should be the name of a disinfectant.

2ndSopranosRule · 29/10/2015 17:00

AIBU to suggest to SIL that the reason her toddler won't eat is that she provides copious chocolate buttons and cake in lieu of what's been offered so that dn "has at least something inside their belly".

I daren't put it on here as I will be told quite rightly that it's none of my business (except sometimes it is when my older dc refuse to eat because they want the belly-filling treats too).

ragged · 29/10/2015 17:12

BFP. That one irks me uncontrollably. I never tested with some of mine, btw!!! I just knew.

AwfulBeryl · 29/10/2015 17:14

Oh bloody hell, I was thinking about starting a thread and mentioning my anxiety problems, don't think I will do it now. Grin.
It really does cloud my judgement though, so makes it really difficult to really know if I am just worrying unnecessarily. Tbh I can't see that putting all the people with anxiety together will be all that helpful, we are all in the same fucking boat. Wink
Most of mine would be about my evil sil, who is a spoiled, selfish, thunder cunt. i don't bother for the reasons wellies gave, there are some seriously cuntatstic people on here.

AwfulBeryl · 29/10/2015 17:14

What is a bfp ? Confused

Supermanspants · 29/10/2015 17:15

A thunder cunt
Has a certain ring to it

ragged · 29/10/2015 17:19

bfp = big fat positive, pregnancy test result. Weird to get excited over when you didn't actually take a test. Plus... I wasn't even TTC most of the time.

Folk just assume things, you know?

ragged · 29/10/2015 17:20

@AwfulBeryl: it's fine, good even, for the anxious to post. I said IKIBU.

I might be less obviously unreasonable if I could skip past anxious threads, that is all.

AwfulBeryl · 29/10/2015 17:20

It really suits her Superman
She told my dc off the other day for not covering for her dc when they sat in the kitchen and ate the pudding my Mum got for us all for dinner.
my Dns were really upset because they were told off and apparently my dc should have admitted to it to even if they didn't do it, because that's what cousins do...Confused

NothingNewUnderTheSun · 29/10/2015 17:21

I like Worra's AIBU that never was. Imagine the fur flying if THAT had been done!

Grin
laffymeal · 29/10/2015 17:24

Perhaps I am purpleist...hangs head in shame.

DrDiva · 29/10/2015 17:30

Heathcliff I read that as your 11 day old DD and was Shock at the end of your post!
(Not good for 11yo either...)

Olddear · 29/10/2015 17:53

Laffy, you and me both! I have never, ever come across the boy who chose to wear a tutu of any hue! Or wanted a grey pinafore to wear to school, and then a very offended mother wonders why people thought wee Ptolemy was a girl....

waitingforcalpoltowork · 29/10/2015 18:08

aibu to keep my sons hair short because people think he is a girl

^^ i would need more than flameproof knickers for that one wouldn't i Grin

aibu to think boys liking a dolls house does NOT indicate gender issues (flame)

aibu to think you're not providing free childcare for your grandkids if you're massively deliberately pissing the parents off your just getting entertained at the kids expense you sick Halloween Shock

derxa · 29/10/2015 18:11

wee Ptolemy Grin I imagine how that would go down in deepest darkest Lanarkshire.

MardyBra · 29/10/2015 18:18

AIBU to wish that all the huns with their hubbies, lightheartedness, "should of"s and "loosing"s would just bugger off back to Netmums?

That one would be be fun.

laughingatweather · 29/10/2015 18:22

AIBU to think many MNetters lack basic compression skills.

A one paragraph post e.g my 5 year old DS has a dairy allergy and won't eat eggs. Can anyone give me lunchbox ideas?.

Replies on the first page - how old is he?. Cheese sandwich? Tortilla?.

laffymeal · 29/10/2015 18:27

Agree Mardybra. I'd like to aibu to suggest that the grammar police police fuck right off. A while ago there was a thread about someone wanting a TA job. They had unsuccessfully applied for several positions. Their op was littered with spelling and grammar mistakes. Someone suggested that if their CV had similar mistakes it might be the reason, they got totally slaughtered for it, called a pedantic cunt etc. sometimes being able to write properly is important!

derxa · 29/10/2015 18:32

I have never, ever come across the boy who chose to wear a tutu of any hue! Agree and I wouldn't judge. Who cares!

laffymeal · 29/10/2015 18:34

Yes, not reading the OP and asking stupid questions is another bugbear. If someone posts about their child being excluded from a party, go into detail about why they've been excluded by the birthday child, e.g. "Birthday Boy shouted in my DC's face "ha ha, you're not coming to my party because nobody likes you!"" someone will always follow up with a post along the lines of "are you SURE you haven't got your wires crossed OP? Couldn't the invitation be stuck in the book bag or left in your DC's tray at school?" Aargh!!

Olddear · 29/10/2015 18:36

Derxa! I'm in deepest, darkest Lanarkshire!!! Can you imagine? 'Haw, Pitolmy, gonny gie that a by son?'

derxa · 29/10/2015 18:42

Olddear I feel your pain Grin 'Haw Ptolemy are ye naw gonnae dae that'
