Don't get me wrong she can sing but people are saying they were "sobbing" at the power of new song. I don't get the hype about her

Then listened to the song She actually does say this! Gawd.

Why can't she sing about love and gratitude for finding love (with her DH at least), if that's the life she has now at 25. I also thought the song was a joke at first. 'Hello. Is it me you're looking for' - kind of thing ...

Exactly Inkata. I think it's a stupid decision on the part of the record company. It's been 4 years since her last album, an awful lot of people who loved that album are going to have lives which have moved on in the same way and will be able to relate to it. I think it's sad they want Adele to preserve her music in this aspic of melancholy just because it sells.

Just listened to this (well, the 1st couple of minutes). Not really my cup of tea but I quite like her voice and her 'persona'.

Urgh. I can never unsee that scenario now.

I heard her new song this morning for the first time and wasn't particulalry impressed. Is she still warbling over the lost love that 'someone like you' was written about ? My dh on the other hand loves it.

I just don't the Adele-love. IMO massively overrated. As far as female singers go Alison Moyet did it so, so much better.

On another note, it's totally true that hello has to be followed by "is it me you're looking for?" and I can play both that and I just called to say I love you on a keyboard. Mad skills, right?! My only musical ability.

Not my thing either, but I suspect many of you don't get Metallica so I just shrug and move on.
I do have a cover of Rolling in The Deep on my iPod though by a band called 'Go Radio' and I rather like that version.

Luckily Metallica isn't played on the radio stations I listen to, unfortunately Adele is.
