To think MNers can come up with a better IoT product than a Bluetooth - enabled mooncup?

Seriously, would anyone even consider putting one of http://www.live-smart.co/news/this-menstrual-cup-texts-you-from-inside-your-body-1331 these Mooncups that send you push notifications into themselves? Or am I missing out on the benefits? Perhaps the person that thought of it is a MNer...

"Sheldon: Penny, everything is better with Bluetooth."

I never thought it could possibly lead to this....

MagpieCursedTea · 19/10/2015 16:55

Yes, ridiculous. Where can you buy them? Asking for a friend...

SweetTeaVodka · 19/10/2015 17:19

The stem itself needs to sit just outside your body in order to connect to your smartphone

Sounds uncomfortable. I was under the impression that many menstrual cup users found them more comfortable with the stem trimmed off, I certainly wouldn't want it protruding from the body.

SaucyJack · 19/10/2015 18:32

Well that's just put me off my stew.

Maudofallhopefulness · 19/10/2015 19:03

I'm able to do all that myself thanks. Not rocket science to know if you need to empty your mooncup ffs. I've had enough periods to know how it all works.

And to quote Dragons 'for that reason, I'm out'.

abigamarone · 19/10/2015 19:14

I'm crossing my legs and cringing at reading that.

The stem needs to sit outside the body? - Owwwww.

ladyvimes · 19/10/2015 19:25

They might be onto something. Does the mooncup vibrate when it's time for a refresh?

Tianc · 19/10/2015 19:28

Nooooooo! This has to be a spoof.

Please?

Tianc · 19/10/2015 19:30

Maybe it beeps when it's full?

Senpai · 19/10/2015 19:34

They should put microchips on tampons too. Save a lot of women from toxic shock syndrome.

MrsJamin · 20/10/2015 18:52

ladyvimes you get a push notification to your phone when it needs to tell you to take it out etc! PING! [Your mooncup needs to be emptied!]

I use a Mooncup and I can feel when it's full and, as I'm pretty sure that I have a run of the mill fanjo, I imagine most other women could feel it too. So, not really needed. Especially as my phone spends a lot of time in the DC's hands. I can just picture it now, in a restaurant waiting for our order to arrive, "ping" "Muuuum, your Mooncup wants to be emptied". Blush

Tianc · 21/10/2015 10:27

a push notification

MrsJamin · 21/10/2015 14:24

I'm wondering whether they've actually asked any women whether they think this is a useful product.
